Kilrush Golf Club

Kilrush Golf Club 18 hole parkland course in the town of Kilrush, in County Clare, on the Wild Atlantic Way. The ninth hole is breathtaking.

Please reach out if you'd like to discuss membership options (€160 per year if you live over 60km from the course!) or would like to book green fees. Kilrush Golf & Sports Club is situated half a mile outside the old heritage town of Kilrush and was founded in 1934. The new course which was re-designed by Dr. Arthur Spring in 1994, is a gem. The clever use of the natural terrain combined with wate

r, trees and sand bunkers has resulted in a scenic course that is a pleasure to play. Played from a plateau, this par 3 which measures 168 yards to the green set in the valley is guarded on three sides by water and with sand on the fourth side, the choices are “be up or lay up”. The index one, 11th hole measures 421 yards but only the brave will take on the water in order to reach the green in two. The closing five holes, depending on the direction of the wind, can be a severe test before the warmth of the Clubhouse & Restaurant where you can relax, enjoy a drink and chat and choose from our exciting menu. Referred to as one of the friendliest clubs in Ireland, we welcome past and present members, visitors, societies, juniors and diners to our club and restaurant. We would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that you enjoy our course and your golf!

👏 A brilliant week for the Kilrush Boys at the Kerry Boys Championship! ⛳

Everyone at Kilrush Golf Club is incredibly proud of Jayden Murray, Sean Nagle, Brian Conway and Tom Browne, who represented the club superbly on the Cashen Course at Ballybunion this week, with Dromoland's Bo Murphy also joining the lads and making it a real team effort throughout.

Tom and Jayden successfully came through qualifying, while Sean and Brian were extremely unlucky not to make it through themselves. From there, the five lads stuck together on and off the course, supporting one another and enjoying what was a fantastic week for the group.

And what a week it turned into for Tom Browne. Tom produced brilliant golf round after round, progressing all the way to the final of the 2026 Kerry Boys Championship — an outstanding achievement and one he should be hugely proud of.

More than anything, it was fantastic to see our young golfers representing Kilrush so well and supporting each other throughout the week.

We’re enormously proud of all our Kilrush Boys — and a special congratulations to Tom on a superb run to the final! 👏💚⛳

All of us at Kilrush Golf Club would like to wish Lady President Mary Young and President Michael Hogan a wonderful Presidents' Day on Saturday!

Mary and Michael have been ever-present this year, working tirelessly on both the course and clubhouse to ensure all of us have the best conditions possible for our golf and socialising.

The esteem that the membership holds our Presidents in is evident from a packed timesheet, comprising Ladies, Men, Distance and Junior members. We wish all participants the best on their rounds, and encourage everyone, as always, to partake in post-round refreshments served by Martina and her team.

There are a handful of places left on the timesheet, so please do head to BRS as quickly as possible to secure a tee time for what promises to be a brilliant day! Huge thanks, too, to everyone who has shown up for workforces over the past number of weeks to ensure the course remains in tip-top shape. ⛳

The presentations will take place at 9pm, and we look forward to seeing plenty of you for some post-round recaps, and maybe a beverage or two!

A fantastic Captain’s Prize has come to a close at Kilrush Golf Club, and what a fitting way to crown our 2026 champion!

Huge congratulations to Donncadh Nagle, who produced a brilliant 68 gross in the playoff to claim the Captain’s Prize. An exceptional round when it mattered most and a thoroughly deserved victory. Donncadh gives an enormous amount to Kilrush Golf Club, particularly through the time and encouragement he dedicates to our Junior members, so it was wonderful to see him enjoy such a memorable win. 👏⛳

The two weekends were a perfect tribute to the tremendous work of our Captain, Brian Scanlan. Brian has dedicated countless hours to the club and, in particular, to the course throughout the year. That same care and attention was evident in the fantastic selection of prizes and the superb way they were presented, which made the occasion feel all the more special. We know Brian can look back with great pride on a hugely successful Captain’s Prize.

Congratulations also to Seamus O’Doherty, Ian Dillon, John K Ryan, Gearoid Williams and Patrick Coleman on filling the remaining leading places, and to Tom Browne on taking the Gross prize. Congratulations too to all of our category, qualifier, Past Captain, nine-hole, nearest-the-pin, longest-drive, guest, distance-member and lady-member prize winners. A brilliant achievement by everyone who featured in the prizes. 🏆

A massive thank you must go to our course staff, who had all 18 holes in absolutely phenomenal condition – and, as befits a Captain’s Prize, appropriately difficult! The presentation of the course across both weekends was a credit to all the work that goes on behind the scenes.

Finally, a huge thank you to Martina and her staff for the lovely refreshments and hospitality provided across both weekends. As always, it was very much appreciated by everyone.

Congratulations once again to Donncadh, to all our prize winners, and especially to Captain Brian Scanlan on a Captain’s Prize, and year of dedication, to be very proud of. 💚⛳🏆

Reminder to all members. Please do not cause damage to our Greens. (5th green pic incl). Taking a divot off the green shows a serious lack of respect to all our members, course staff and volunteers. All of whom spend a lot of time in keeping our beautiful course in the best condition possible. We do not have a practice facility so also(1) please do not pepper the greens with pitch marks from any shot and repair pitch marks on greens. (2) play one ball only from fairways. (3) play one ball from par 3s. There are divot bags with mix available on 1st tee . If all repaired their own it would make life a lot easier. Appreciate all the help from those who are doing it right . Its not really that hard. Thanks to all and enjoy the Golf , but respect the work that goes on in the back round. Its our Course as both members and prospective members to protect. Thank you.

🔵🟡🌹 Best of Luck, Niamh! 🌹🔵🟡

Everyone at Kilrush Golf Club would like to wish Niamh Burke the very best of luck as she represents Cooraclare in this year's Rose of Clare Festival.

Niamh has been a valued member of Martina's restaurant and bar team for many years, and we are all incredibly proud to see her representing her community. We hope she enjoys every moment of what promises to be a fantastic week, making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Pictured with Niamh is Nicola O'Leary, Captain of the Cooraclare/Cree Golf Society, who called to Kilrush Golf Club to wish her well ahead of the festival.

We also extend our very best wishes to all of the wonderful Roses taking part this week.

🌹 Best of luck, Niamh—we'll all be cheering you on! 💙⛳

Tom Browne representing Munster ⛳

Our club shares the pride that Tara and Neil are so clearly feeling in this photo, taken today at Holywood Golf Club, the home club of Rory McIlroy, where Tom is representing the Munster U16 Boys Interclub Team.

This is a tremendous achievement for Tom, and a testament to his hard work, dedication, and talent. It's also wonderful to see the unwavering support of his parents and family, who have been with him every step of the way on his junior golf journey.

Congratulations, Tom—we're all incredibly proud of you and wish you every success!
