Kilrush Golf Club

Kilrush Golf Club 18 hole parkland course in the town of Kilrush, in County Clare, on the Wild Atlantic Way. The ninth hole is breathtaking.

Please reach out if you'd like to discuss membership options (€160 per year if you live over 60km from the course!) or would like to book green fees. Kilrush Golf & Sports Club is situated half a mile outside the old heritage town of Kilrush and was founded in 1934. The new course which was re-designed by Dr. Arthur Spring in 1994, is a gem. The clever use of the natural terrain combined with wate

r, trees and sand bunkers has resulted in a scenic course that is a pleasure to play. Played from a plateau, this par 3 which measures 168 yards to the green set in the valley is guarded on three sides by water and with sand on the fourth side, the choices are “be up or lay up”. The index one, 11th hole measures 421 yards but only the brave will take on the water in order to reach the green in two. The closing five holes, depending on the direction of the wind, can be a severe test before the warmth of the Clubhouse & Restaurant where you can relax, enjoy a drink and chat and choose from our exciting menu. Referred to as one of the friendliest clubs in Ireland, we welcome past and present members, visitors, societies, juniors and diners to our club and restaurant. We would like to thank you for your continued support and hope that you enjoy our course and your golf!

What a fantastic day at Kilrush Golf Club as we celebrated our Vice Captains' Prizes!

A huge congratulations to our overall winners, Agnes Shannon in the Ladies' competition and Ruairí Young in the Men's competition. Very well done to both on superb performances.

Our sincere thanks go to our Vice Captains, Fiona and Jim, for their tremendous hard work, dedication, and generosity in making the day such a success. The beautifully-presented prizes were a wonderful reflection of the occasion and were greatly appreciated by all. The full timesheet was the perfect representation of how highly the membership values their contributions to the club.

While there are too many winners to name individually, we want to echo Fiona and Jim's comments at the presentation, calling out how heartening it is to see some of our newest members, both beginners and veterans from other clubs, playing brilliant golf on the day.

A special word of thanks also to Martina and all of her staff for the outstanding service in the clubhouse throughout what was a very long day. Your hard work and hospitality helped make the celebrations so enjoyable for everyone.

Finally, thank you to everyone who took part in the competitions and to all who joined us for the presentations and festivities afterwards! Days like these are what make our club such a special place.

Congratulations once again to all of our prize winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable Vice Captains' Prize Day.

Great news for one of our Younger golfers coming through. Tom Browne has been selected for the Munster U 16 inter provincial boys team. Huge congrats Tom. Your Club is extremely proud of you . Fantastic achievement. Massive credit to you , your work ethic , your family, your mentors. But at the end of the day its down to you. Very proud moment for all.
After a long tough points system your selection has been thoroughly justified. Quality. 👍.

Tee times are filling quickly for our Vice Captain's Prizes on Saturday, June 27th, so we advise members to sign up on BRS as soon as possible!

The hard work and diligence of the Course Management team is paying dividends, Monday's workforce did a fantastic job on filling divots, and the greens in particular are excellent. The forecast looks good for the big day, and weather-permitting we'll have a BBQ from 1pm. Which is to say, afternoon starters should try to avoid arriving hungry or it might be difficult to concentrate on putting on the fourth green!

Fiona and Jim have put in incredible work this year on behalf of the club, and we wish them the very best on Saturday!

As always, we would ask that players fix divots and pitchmarks out of courtesy for the players following them.

We were over the moon to welcome the Fore Bros for a round at KGC this morning, as part of their tour of the west! Captain Brian and Vice Captain Jim were out early to greet our visitors, and impart some invaluable local knowledge.

We hope the lads had a brilliant morning on the course, and we wish ye more great weather and safe travels for the rest of the trip! Thanks so, so much for visiting!

Reminder to all. Please repair your divots on tees boxes or elsewhere. A lot of work has gone in to these areas constantly. Its in our own interest as members and guests. Divot bags are plentiful on boards near 1st tee. Dont be shy and take one for your round. Every little bit helps. Enjoy the glorious weather and have a great golfing weekend

Our Competitions secretary has been hard at work, setting up a four-day re-entry tournament to take advantage of the sunshine. The course is in brilliant shape at the moment, thanks to the hard work of the groundskeeping staff.

White or Yellow tees are in play, so please choose a set when signing in and stick to those for the round.

Visitors and guests are extremely welcome to take part, and we'll do our best to accommodate any requests. If you've been on the fence about trying out our course, this is a great opportunity to play it in great weather, at a great price. Hope to see plenty of ye out there!
