💍🫏 Some wedding guests just refuse to stay out of the photos... 🫏💍
Tara & Rob embraced everything that makes an Inis Mór wedding so special — dramatic Atlantic views, traditional stone walls, and of course, one very curious local who was determined to steal the spotlight! 😄
This wonderful moment captures the spirit of an island wedding perfectly. Relaxed, full of personality and surrounded by the natural beauty of the Aran Islands.
Congratulations Tara & Rob ❤️ Thank you for choosing to celebrate your wedding weekend with us. We hope every time you look back at this photo, it brings a smile to your faces.
Planning a wedding on Inis Mór means more than just a wedding day. It's a three-day celebration where family and friends can explore the island, enjoy great food, share stories in the bar and create memories together.

A little tour of our rooms.

Simple, comfortable, and set up for a good night’s rest after a day out on Inis Mór. Some with views of the Atlantic, all just a short walk from the bar and restaurant.

It’s the kind of place you come back to, kick off the shoes, and settle in.

A different kind of edge.

This is Dún Duchathair, set low against the Atlantic with stone walls that have been holding their ground here for thousands of years. Quieter than most spots on the island, and all the better for it.

It’s the sort of place you come across when you’ve given yourself the time to wander.

Not just views… a bit of story too.

This is near Diarmuid and Gráinne’s Bed, where the legend says the two lovers rested as they made their way across Ireland. Out here, it’s easy to see why they might have stopped for a while.

After a day exploring places like this, there’s nothing better than slowing it all down for the evening.

You can try to do Inis Mór in a day… but you’ll only end up promising yourself you’ll come back.

From the edge of The Worm Hole (Poll na bPéist) to the quiet paths near Dún Dúchathair, there’s always one more turn to take, one more sea view to stop and admire. And that’s before you’ve even had time for a cycle, a swim, or a chat in Kilronan.

The sensible thing? Stay the night.

At the Aran Islands Hotel, you can choose a cosy hotel room or one of our sea view chalets with your own private deck looking out over the Atlantic. Dinner in Madigans, a drink at the bar, a great breakfast the next morning — and off you go again.

Best enjoyed over 2–3 days. We’ll keep the light on for you.

Out minding their own business… and still managing to keep an eye on you.

Life on Inis Mór moves at its own pace. A wander, a bit of fresh air, and you’ll meet a few locals along the way like this one, right at home among the stone and grass.

It’s the kind of place where a day never feels like enough.

Stay with us at the Aran Islands Hotel, take your time exploring, and come back to a warm meal, a drink, and a proper rest after.
