We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear & Loyal customer Joe- a gentleman,window cleaner, dancer and a true character who meant so much to all of us at Marguerites Restaurant.
Joe called in every week without fail for his tea and scone- though he never missed a chance to remind us (with a smile) that the scone was as hard as a rock! We wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Joe was always in great form, often bursting in to song and adding his own version to it as well. There was great banter with him especially when it came to the mighty Westmeath football team and the legendary singer Joe Dolan always getting a special mention.
He brought laughter, warmth, charm and a bit of mischief with him every time he walked through the door.
Joe wasnt just a customer- he was part of our busy mornings, full of funny moments and stories.
Joe will be truly missed by all of us.
Rest in peace Joe- thanks for all the laughs..
