We are a natural grocery store selling delicious naturally-produced artisan foods and wines.

At The Little Green Grocer we are passionate about delicious healthy naturally-produced food. We love everything about food – cooking, growing, eating, sharing, talking, tasting, making – and we love to source our foods from as close by as we can. How lucky we are to be surrounded by such wonderful artisan producers and organic growers! We welcome you to our new natural food store at 6 Parliament Street, Kilkenny.

We had our first hen party in our shop for a tasting today with and what a lovely group they were. We loved hosting them!

🧀The cheeses they tried are the fabulous Organic Mossfield and Coolattin Cheddar.

🍎Delicious Organic ‘Discovery’ apples grown by Peter Binder

🧂West of Di**le Wh***ey Smoked Seasalt

🌺 And edible Nasturtium flowers from our garden.

We followed the cheeseboard with the sweetest Kilkenny platter of Speltbakers bread, Knockdrinna Dairy Farmhouse Butter, and Aughamucky Honey, and some fabulous organic apple juice from Highbank Organic Orchard.

These are the BEST aubergines! Not only are they utterly delicious, they are grown locally and completely naturally by Westcourt Living and Growing, a wonderful social enterprise based near Callan, County Kilkenny.

We love them roasted slowly and simply with great extra virgin olive oil and some Irish sea salt flakes!

How lucky are we to have our little city filled to the brim with magic? ✨ Oh Kilkenny Arts we love you so! We are halfway through and it has been full of complete wonder so far and with so much more to come!

Yay for LOCAL ORGANIC cherries! Eamonn Wallace has grown his wonderful organic cherries in Callan, County Kilkenny for many years and we are extra thrilled to have Eamonn bring us these beauties from his retirement. Irish grown organic fruit is super precious and super delicious!

Happy sunny Friday from our little shop in the heart of Kilkenny! We are so happy to have the sun shining on us today and to have these beautiful flowers and plants to brighten our little part of the world.

Our gorgeous perennial and annual flower, herb and veggie plants are from the wonderful Westcourt Living and Growing, an inclusive social enterprise in Callan, County Kilkenny. And we have some of their delicious veggies in our fridge too!

Our beautiful bunches of cut flowers are from Soah Flowers in Threecastles, County Kilkenny.

This picture was taken super quickly to avoid melting these delicious Glastry Farm Ice Creams!

Made by the Taylor family with the creamy milk from their herd of pedigree Holstein cows on their farm in the beautiful Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland, this range is fruity, creamy and so good!

And the creamy sorbets are vegan!

We are delighted to have some Irish icecream in our freezer again. ☀️

Yay for sunshine and flowers, and the promise of more of both to come! Our beautiful locally grown flowers are from the wonderful Soah Flowers here in Kilkenny. We love them so much! 💕

Our newest olive is the delicious bright green Nocellara de Belice, from the fertile sun-drenched valley of the Belice River in Sicily. Olives have been cultivated in Sicily for over 3000 years!

Nocellara de Belice olives are renowned for their high polyphenol content, which has significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, so like all the best foods, they are delicious AND nutritious!
