Yesterday we had our last service and closed the doors of Nóinín for good. The past two weeks since we announced we were closing have been an emotional whirlwind of busyness and goodbyes. It was very sad for us to say goodbye to so many of our lovely customers and to our wonderful staff. We were both overwhelmed with the response from everyone to the news we were closing. We were so touched by all the lovely messages, gifts, cards and kind wishes that we received. We just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you, it means a lot to us to see all the love out there for our little restaurant ❤️

Anyway, now for a rest and then on to the next chapter, whatever that may be…

Hi everyone, we have some big news that we would like to share with you.

After much thought and deliberation we have decided that we are going to close Nóinín. While we love our cosy little premises here on John’s Bridge, it has come to the point where we have realised that we either need to get bigger or get out. It simply isn’t financially sustainable for us to continue operating in such a small space. After weighing it up we have decided that we don’t have the energy or appetite to expand into a bigger premises. Therefore we have made the difficult decision to close. Our last day trading will be Saturday 26th April.

We are so proud of the business that we built up over the past two and a half years. It has been a real labour of love for both of us. It was also the culmination of a lifelong dream for me (Sinéad) to open my own restaurant, I’m so happy that we made that dream happen.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to our hardworking staff, both past and present, who are all part of the Nóinín story. Thank you to our wonderful suppliers, it was a joy to cook with your fantastic produce. Most of all we want to thank our lovely and loyal customers, thank you so much for supporting Nóinín from day one. It has been such a pleasure to feed you ❤️

Anyway, we are here for the next two weeks so come and see us while you can!

This is our third year running to make the list and it is such a wonderful honour to be included along with so many fantastic restaurants in Ireland. This day two years ago we opened the doors of Nóinín!

We are so proud and thankful to reach this milestone, especially during these challenging times for the hospitality industry. Happy to still be here cooking away and feeding you all!!

For the month of December we will be opening for an extra night of dinner service! As well as our usual Friday and Saturday nights we will also be opening Thursday nights from 6-9pm. Hey everyone! Now that the quieter winter months have well and truly arrived we are going to reduce our opening hours a little. We will be closing at the slightly earlier time of 3pm on weekdays. Our Saturday hours will remain unchanged! Thursday night dinners will be making a return in December and reservations are now open on our website x

Happy October everyone! Now that things have quietened down after the summer season we will be taking a break for ourselves and our staff. We will be closed from October 6th - 22nd inclusive and will be back open on Wednesday October 23rd. We are open all this week so come see us before we head off on our break x
