We’d like to clarify what happened.
Following a recent post and review about a group visit to The Ball Alley, we feel it is only fair to our customers and our team to share the full context.
We understand that everyone is entitled to share their experience, but some of the information shared publicly does not accurately reflect what happened on the day.
So, what actually happened?
Three mums initially arrived with their buggies. Our team asked how many more people would be joining them and were told there would be “the same amount”.
Our staff member politely asked if the buggies could be left outside so that our walkways remained clear and accessible.
As more members of the group arrived, a large number of buggies were brought inside and placed around the dining area and walkways.
Our staff member approached the group again and politely asked for the buggies to be moved outside, as they were obstructing the walkways, including access to the toilets.
This request was not followed.
This was never about babies, mums or families.
It was simply about keeping our walkways clear, accessible and safe for everyone in the restaurant.
We have CCTV from the day showing the situation and the positioning of the buggies. We are sharing selected images only to clarify the situation and not to identify or target any individual.
Families are always welcome at The Ball Alley. ❤️
We genuinely value our local families, mums and children, and we are always happy to welcome groups.
If you are planning to visit us as a larger mum-and-baby group, please get in touch with us in advance.
We can discuss the best day and time, organise the space and make sure there is enough room for buggies while keeping the restaurant comfortable and accessible for everyone.
We want everyone who visits The Ball Alley to feel welcome.
We believe that good communication beforehand makes the experience better for everyone.
Thank you to all of our customers and local community for your continued support. ❤️
