With heavy hearts we announce that Café Temple will be closing in two weeks, on Saturday the 25th of June.
The last almost 7 years of this journey have been incredible, doing what we love, making healthy and tasty food and drinks for the community to enjoy.
Our mission was to serve great food and drinks made with care and passion in a relaxing space, and to support as many local and organic suppliers as possible, whilst giving back to the community.
We have always tried to create a relaxed atmosphere for people to come and enjoy being themselves with others. We wanted to empower people to make healthier food choices and to see food as a fuel. We wanted to encourage better ways of eating and treating your body more like a ‘Temple’. We have met some amazing local suppliers that we have been proud to have on the menu. Giving back was a core value of ours and we have also worked with some amazing charities giving back through the business with charitable donations, fundraisers, sea swims and suspended coffees and food. We will truly miss serving you every day, but sadly the time has come to for a change.
Steve and I want to thank all of our amazing customers and regulars for their incredible support over the years. Without ye and the amazing team of staff we’ve had, past and present, the place simply never would have been as wonderful as it is. We started with a small idea which grew and grew to the wonderful café we have today. Unfortunately, we have grown to a point that we need bigger kitchen facilities and have struggled to find a new lease agreement that suits us. Sadly, with all the uncertainty with the hospitality industry (food prices constantly increasing, electricity all but tripling in price and staff shortages) and after evaluating things during the Covid lockdowns, we have decided it might be best to pursue other goals for a while 💚
We are open as usual Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-3.30pm serving up all your favourites so if you want to get you last Café Temple fix over the next 2 weeks be sure to call in and say hi 😊
