The Old Mill Shop & Café was one of the first of Ahascragh Distillery’s ventures in Ahascragh village, East Galway.

We’ve recently moved and reorganised, and the café is now part of the Clan Colla restaurant family.

Happy 2026, everyone!

We know it takes some time for everone to settle back into regular life now that the festive season is over - so we’re taking this moment to give our team in hospitality (The Clan Colla and Visitor’s Centre) time to recoup too.

Both places will be closed until 13 February.

Our café will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 4th November, as a mark of respect for our owners, Michelle and Gareth, following the passing of Michelle’s beloved dad. His funeral will take place that day.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Michelle, Gareth, and their family during this difficult time.

Thank you all for your understanding and support. We’ll reopen as normal the following day.
