We're a Michelin-starred restaurant and wine bar in Galway city, specialising in ingredients native to our west of Ireland home.

Loam is a Michelin-starred restaurant and wine bar located on Fairgreen Road (just off Eyre Square) in Galway city - a 2 minute walk from the train station and a short walk from many of the best city centre hotels. In the restaurant, we serve a focused creative simple cuisine using the best of what the land can give us. Obsessively seasonal, we work very closely with local farmers and producers, m

any of whom are close friends, to get the products we need to reflect and capture the feeling and magic of the west of Ireland. The wine bar is a more relaxed affair with a small dynamic wine list showcasing mostly organic, biodynamic wines all from small family run vineyards. We serve small plates of local and house made charcuterie, cheeses, pickles and snacks. Wine Bar opening hours: 16:00 to 00:00
Restaurant hours: 18:00 to 22:00

*Update*
Facing such uncertainty this Winter and after much deliberation we have decided to close Loam for the Winter season. It’s been a great Spring and Summer season, better than we could have imagined really, however we are acutely feeling the effects of staff shortages and spiralling costs as is widespread across the industry. So Instead of continuing with both restaurants we have decide to hibernate Loam for the winter and amalgamate all staff into Ean and continue to develop what we have started on Druid lane. This has not been an easy decision by any means but we believe it is the correct one for us right now.
We will have some events at Loam, private functions, music and some wine tastings over the Winter season so keep an eye on our social media for updates.
Our last day of normal trading for this season will be the 10th of September. If you have a booking affected by this decision we will be in touch over the next couple of days.

We have deliberated back and forth over the last few days and have come to the conclusion that the best option for loam is to close until the 1st of February when, hopefully, the restrictions will have eased and we can trade somewhat normally. The 8pm time limitation does not suit our model in loam and attempting to trade through January would leave us in a precarious position. Our sister restaurant will continue to trade within the limitations and we will be in touch with all guests who have a booking in January personality over the coming days to reschedule or cancel as preferred. Thank you all sincerely for all your support over this difficult period and we look forward to seeing you in the spring for Imbolc celebrations.
