Open Air Graffiti & Street Art Gallery in Galway's Westend 🙌🖌🎨

Pump Lane back the west has had a serious makeover, with five Galway-based street and graffiti artists turning its walls into a new open-air gallery!

The Pump Lane creative weekend kicked off on Thursday, bringing artists and the local community together to transform the laneway through paint, creativity and a bit of Galway attitude. Each artist brought their own style, perspective and personality to the space, creating a mix of street art and graffiti that feels right at home in the westend. There is plenty of Galway in the finished work too, with Irish language, local slang and references to the city’s street art culture appearing across the walls.

And it wasn’t just the artists who got stuck in. The west community helped prepare the laneway, clearing and weeding the area before the painting began.

Made possible by Project Leader Lisa Regan, funding from Galway City Council and Creative Ireland, and the amazing artists!

Make the most of the last few days of Summer in Galway by spending an evening on the pedestrianised streets of Galway's Westend, just like John O'Ceallaigh 😍🌎✏📸

Street closures operate 7 evenings per week from 6pm. At weekends, closures will commence from 3pm. The Small Crane section will remain closed to traffic 24/7 as per previous years.
