I'm having a coffee morning on Friday October 31st at 10am in dunlavin parish office to raise much needed funds for breast cancer ireland. My dear friend helen has been having treatment over the past 12 weeks for breast cancer and is finished this Friday. I'd like to acknowledge her strength, determination and courage by having a coffee morning to show how proud I am of her. All donations of cakes and money would be greatly appreciated. Dunlavin Community Diary

Lovely afternoon at the Dunlavin Arts Festival. Started with coffee from the Queen Bean on the Green. Then we wandered down Stephen Street to the stalls in the Imaal Hall, where Chris Lawlor had a selection of his books and West Wicklow Historical Society journals for sale.

Then visited two exhibition areas with some wonderful paintings and sculptures. Then another coffee break in An Lár Dunlavin and a long chat in its lovely atmosphere.

On the way home we visited Dion's Traditional Chipper for a takeaway and a chat with the friendly staff. Met quite a few familiar faces along the way, as well as the Giant Irish Elk that was wandering the streets.

Come and meet the magical world of Julie-Rose our puppet adventurer, this Saturday between 12–1pm as she stroles around the town. Then gather round for a puppet performance at 1pm on the Market Green.

Event: DONOUGHMORE SUMMER FETE
Date: Monday, 5 August 2024 (2pm to 5pm)
Location: Donoughmore, Glen of Imaal, Co Wicklow. Off the N81 between Blessington and Baltinglass, at Whitestown - signposted Glen of Imaal. Use Eircode W91C971 on Google Maps to find our location.

‘Magic Martha’ the Clown (an experienced and very popular children’s entertainer) will be back again this year to entertain the children during the afternoon (Balloon Modelling, Face Painting and Magic!) – no charge.
Horse & Carriage Rides
Mini-Auction. Lots of great items to bid for at this popular annual event held during the afternoon including a week in a 4 bedroom holiday home near Tralee.
