It is with a heavy heart that we announce RTJ’s will be closing its doors for the final time on Sunday, October 27th, after 9 amazing years of serving our community.

Our journey started in the chip van at O’Donnell’s DIY, and with your support, we expanded to opening the shop at Dungloe Business Park and extending to Doochary. Throughout the years, we’ve always strived to provide for our community, even being the only business open during the height of COVID-19, ensuring that essential services continued when it was most needed.

Unfortunately, the rising costs of doing business—VAT increases, price hikes across the board—and ongoing personal health challenges have made it impossible to continue at this pace. After much thought, we’ve decided it’s time to step back and take a break.

That said, there is an opportunity for RTJ’s to continue as an ongoing concern. If anyone is interested in taking over and continuing the business, please reach out directly to Nigel.

We’d like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our customers and staff for the unwavering support over the years. You’ve made this an unforgettable experience, and we’re truly thankful.
