Today we held an Open Gents/Ladies Singles Play in Green competition, raising funds for Samaritans Waterford/South East charity partner of Golf Ireland.

We were delighted to welcome Rory Fitzgerald, Samaritans & Golf Ireland Lead to our club, along with other Samaritans volunteers.

It was wonderful to have such a busy timesheet in support of our Play In Green competition. Prizes for best dressed man and woman to be announced 💚

The timesheet is live for our upcoming Open Fortnight, which takes place from Friday 12th – Sunday 21st June. There are lots of competitions to choose from and we look forward to welcoming many visitors also.

Dungarvan Golf Club is an 18 hole championship parkland course located outside the town of Dungarvan, County Waterford. The course is adjacent to Dungarvan Bay, the Waterford Greenway and set against the back drop of the Comeragh Mountains.

Vice Captains, Cathie O’Mahoney and Craig Susdorf, presented their Vice Captains’ Prize on Sunday, 24th May. The timesheet was very busy, which was wonderful to see, and the weather and playing conditions were glorious.

Congratulations to Breid Scanlon who won the Lady Vice Captains Prize and to Sean Browne who won the Vice Captains Prize.

We were thrilled to welcome some of the wonderful local athletes who will be representing Munster at the Special Olympics Summer Games taking place in Dublin from 18th - 21st June.

Pictured with the athletes is Lady Captain Carmel Fox presenting a cheque for €2,800 to Nicola Moroney from Carriglea Cairde Services in support of the Athletes Fund for the Special Olympics summer games.

The money was raised at a fundraising night held by our Thursday Night Card players, also pictured is Pat Phelan fundraiser organiser.

We wish all the athletes the very best of luck in their endeavours. Enjoy the amazing experience ✨️

Congratulations to our Ann Heskin/Munster Cup team on their fantastic win today against Youghal Golf Club. After a very tight match today, we won 3 to 2!

Our presentation of prizes took place on Sunday 24th for our Open Club Classic.

Congratulations to overall winners Roger O'Connor, John Queally, (pictured) Ger Darcy on behalf of Liam Carroll and Billy Queally.

Best Ladies Teresa Hayes, Zoe Scanlon, Joanne Lannen and Mary O'Donnell.
Prizes were presented by Captain Patrick Cumiskey and Lady Captain Carmel Fox.
