Sitar Indian Restaurant - Formerly Carlingford

30/08/2026

Dear customers,
It’s been a little while since our last update, and we hope everyone is doing well!
We want to send a sincere apology to both our regulars and new guests who weren't able to get a table for dine-in yesterday. While things might look quiet passing by outside, the restaurant has been buzzing inside, and we hate having to turn anyone away.
To make sure you get your spot, please consider using our online booking system to reserve a table in advance. As a small family-run restaurant, we love welcoming you all in, and planning ahead helps us make sure nobody leaves disappointed.
Thank you so much for your continued support!
Warmly,🤗

A “pinch me” moment at Sitar recently. 🏆🇮🇪
To celebrate being named Best Indian in Ireland, the Just Eat Ireland crew and Crossy dropped in to see where the magic happens.
Watching my father lead the team under the big lights unfazed and focused on the perfect flame, was a moment of pure pride. This award belongs to our incredible staff and the Dundalk community who’ve backed us from day one.
Something special is cooking. Stay tuned! 🎥🧡

Honestly, it’s the least we could do. We’re just happy to see our food going to such a great cause at St. Patricks Parish Soup Kitchen / Food Parcels We are incredibly proud to be part of the Dundalk community. Thanks for the lovely post! ❤️🍛

A huge thank you to Jitendra Singh from Sitar Indian Restaurant - Formerly Carlingford for the donation of meals recently after Sitar won Indian Restaurant of the year. This is not the first donation Sitar has made to us, they kindly supplied our Christmas Day meals also. Congratulations to Sitar on their win and thank you for helping us to support our community.

Thanks so much to everyone for the support. Just wanted to apologise if your dine-in or takeaway delivery was a bit delayed, we’ve had some absolute jumbo orders coming through!
Please remember, everything from a single naan to every curry is strictly made to order. Those big orders just need that bit of extra time to make sure everything is perfect and fresh for you.
Thanks for being patient with us, it’s definitely worth the wait! 🙌
Freshly cooked. Every single time. 🤗

So proud to see ourselves in The Argus newspaper! 🗞️🏆
It was lovely to see our story featured this week. We are truly honoured and humbled by the support.
Many thanks to Margaret Roddy and the team for the wonderful write-up on our national award! ❤️ Most importantly, a massive thank you to our most amazing customers. We wouldn't be holding this trophy without your loyalty and support over the years. This win is as much yours as it is ours! ❤️ The Argus Just Eat Ireland

Still trying our best to reply to every single comment, message, the love has been unreal! 😅 Seeing the feature in the Democrat was a proud moment for the team, but hearing the community say they’re 'delighted for us' is the real prize. This one is for Dundalk and all our friends across Louth. Cheers for being the best! 🙌🥘 Louth Live Dundalk Democrat Just Eat Ireland

🏆 𝐈𝐓’𝐒 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐊! 🇮🇪
We are officially the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 at the 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬! 🏆🇮🇪 This trophy represents a 𝟐𝟑-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 that began when our Dad,𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡, arrived from Rajasthan (India) with nothing but a suitcase full of dreams and his father’s recipes tucked close to his heart. 🥘✨
This journey has been built on 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬. From the age of just 18, my brother 𝐕𝐢𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐦 stood by Dad through thick and thin, long before our days in Carlingford. Before my sisters joined,I joined the team in 2011 to play my part and help keep the dream growing. With my sisters 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐡𝐚 later joining the crew, our Mother’s support at home, and our incredible staff, we have poured our souls into this. ❤️💪
During COVID, we truly thought it was the end of the road, but our 𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 gave us a second chance. 🏠 We wouldn’t be holding this trophy without you. We are so proud to represent 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 as national champions! 🏅🥂
This one is for you,𝐃𝐚𝐝!❤️✨
