🤘 A huge thank you to everyone who came out to Toales Rock Bar for an incredible night with Sound of Sabbath! The energy from start to finish was unreal, and you helped make it a gig to remember.

A massive thanks to the band for delivering an epic set celebrating the music of Black Sabbath, and to all our staff who kept the night running smoothly.

🎸 Rod Demick (formerly of The Yardbirds) – a celebrated guitarist, bassist and songwriter whose career has spanned decades alongside some of rock’s most influential names.

🎸 Jack McAuley (founding member of Them with Van Morrison) – one of Ireland’s true rock pioneers, bringing decades of blues, rock and soul to the Toales stage.

Expect an afternoon packed with timeless classics, authentic blues, rock ‘n’ roll and the stories that only musicians who’ve lived it can tell.

El Paso Comedy Club rolls back into Toales, Dundalk on Friday, July 31, with one of Ireland’s best-loved stand-ups, Karl Spain, headlining the night.

Known for his sharp storytelling, quick wit and magnificently awkward charm, Spain has been a familiar face on Irish comedy stages and television for years. His comedy has earned him praise from heavy hitters too, with The Sunday Times calling him “achingly funny” and Hot Press describing him as “the future of Irish comedy is in safe hands.”

The Limerick comic has built a reputation for turning everyday embarrassment, family madness and the general chaos of being alive into proper belly laughs. He is the kind of comedian who can make a room feel like he has just leaned across the bar and told everyone the funniest thing that happened to him that week.

The show is presented by El Paso Comedy Club, continuing its run of top-quality comedy nights in Dundalk. With Toales already known for loud guitars, late nights and a bit of beautiful madness, this one swaps the amps for punchlines — though probably with just as much damage done to the ribs.

Karl Spain plays Toales, Dundalk on Friday, July 31. Doors are at 8pm. Tickets are €10 and available via Eventbrite.

The godfathers of heavy metal get the full tribute treatment when Sound of Sabbath arrive at Toales, Dundalk, on Saturday, July 18.

The Belfast-based band celebrate the music of Black Sabbath with a set spanning both the Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie James Dio eras, digging into a catalogue packed with enormous riffs, dark atmosphere and some of the most recognisable songs in rock.

Expect classics including “War Pigs,” “Paranoid,” “Iron Man” and “Children of the Grave,” delivered with the weight and energy the material deserves.

Doors open at 8PM. Tickets are €10 in advance or €12 on the door.

Toales Live Venue hosts a proper hometown double-header on Friday 17 July, with Blue Denim and The Dundalk Dolls sharing the bill.

Blue Denim bring a loose, genre-hopping mix of country, soul and groove-led oddness, with titles like “I Walk The Goose” and “The Wee Hen” suggesting a band with tunes, swagger, and possibly access to livestock-based inspiration.

The Dundalk Dolls arrive with their own catalogue of sharp, melodic guitar tunes, including “Johnny Wrongun,” “The Waves Have Eyes” and “Sons of Oriel,” sounding every bit like a band with songs, bite, and just enough local mischief.

It’s a double headline, so no warm-up excuses: two Dundalk acts, one Friday night, and a Toales room built for this sort of beautiful racket.
