We had a truly unforgettable evening last Saturday, 18th April, celebrating L’Ecrivain and the remarkable legacy of Chef Derry Clarke & his wife Sallyanne Clarke. In fact, we're still on a high from it here at The Spotted Dog!

It was an absolute privilege for our Chef Brendan and the team at The Spotted Dog,
Chef Rob Curley from Slemish Market Supper Club
to share the kitchen again with Chef Derry and recreate some of L’Ecrivain’s iconic MICHELIN Guide dishes, including the unforgettable Langoustines in Kataifi pastry, lemon aioli, pickled cucumber & chilli jam, alongside other timeless classics.

The kitchen was filled with laughter, memories, and stories from the golden days of us working together in their iconic Baggot Street restaurant in Dublin city. A night of reminiscing, friendship, and extraordinary food was had.

Thank you to Chef Derry and Sallyanne for sharing this special celebration of Irish gastronomy, to Chef Rob & Chef Gary of Slemish Supper Club, legends in their own right, to
our incredible staff at The Spotted Dog, and to everyone who joined us for this incredible dining experience.

A Once-in-a-Generation Culinary Reunion!

On Saturday 18th April 2026, something truly special is happening at The spotted dog, Dundalk.

We’re honouring legendary Irish chef Derry Clarke of L'Ecrivain, the iconic MICHELIN Guide restaurant that proudly held its ⭐ for 23 years along with his wife Sallyanne Parker-Clarke. They ran the internationally acclaimed restaurant with precision, creativity & dedication to Irish cuisine for 32 unforgettable years.

For one night only, Derry reunites with former Chefs:

Brendan Mulligan, The Spotted Dog &

Robert Curley, Slemish Market Supper Club

For a 7 course dining experience of L'Ecrivain classics. The menu will be nostalgic with beautifully crafted dishes from the repertoire of Chef Derry.
