🤍 Wedding Cake Portfolio | Design No. 3 🤍

A little more progress on my wedding cake portfolio! ✨

For this design, I wanted to play with soft textures and delicate details, combining elegant floral stencilling, pearl decorations and layers of beautiful wafer paper ruffles.

I love how the different textures come together to create a romantic, timeless look while keeping everything soft and understated. 🤍

✨ A little peek behind the scenes… ✨

I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with wafer paper lately, exploring new techniques and playing around with different design styles as I continue to develop my wedding cake collection. 🤍

These delicate little pieces are part of a decoration I’m creating for another wedding cake design of mine - and I’m loving how they’re coming together!

There’s something so satisfying about taking a simple sheet of wafer paper and transforming it into something delicate and completely bespoke for a wedding cake. 🌿

I’m still very much in the experimenting, tweaking and learning stage, but that’s honestly one of my favourite parts of creating new designs.

🤍 A New Chapter… Wedding Cakes 🤍

I’m so excited to share something a little different with you all… I’m stepping into the world of wedding cakes! 🥂💍

As a home-based baker here in Dundalk, Co. Louth, I’ve decided to take my love of baking in a new direction and start creating beautiful cakes for your special days.

This is my very first wedding cake design - a romantic vintage-inspired creation, finished with lots (and lots!) of delicate piping and fresh raspberries. 🍰❤️

And this is only the beginning…

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working on some more wedding cake designs, exploring different styles, flavours and finishes, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀✨

Don’t worry though - it’s business as usual for all your celebration cakes and sweet treats! 🎂🧁🍪 Birthday cakes, cupcakes, brownies and all the other goodies you know and love will still be available as normal. 🤍

It’s always an interesting one, that. 😂

By that logic…
Why decorate the venue?
Why buy balloons?
Why wrap presents?
Why throw a party at all? 🤷🏼‍♀️

A celebration cake isn’t just flour, sugar and eggs. It’s hours of designing, baking, carving, decorating, planning, problem-solving and creating something made just for your celebration.

And as for “nobody will be eating it anyway”… have you ever actually been to a party? Because in my experience, people can ignore the salad, but they’ll hunt down the cake. 🍰😂

When my lovely customer asked for rainbows, flowers and pretty colours, I couldn’t resist creating something that feels like the happiest summer day. Soft pastel blooms, a beautiful rainbow, shimmering details, and a touch of edible magic all came together to celebrate turning 3 in the sweetest way. 💛☀️

Every decoration on this cake is completely edible - from the rainbow and delicate flowers to the sparkling details - making it as delicious as it is beautiful. 🌸✨
