Join the Serious Dough Team! (Positions available in Dun Laoghaire and Swords)

We are looking for part-time Wood Fired Pizza Chefs to join our team. If you have some experience working in restaurant environment and are enthusiastic about becoming a serious pizza maker, this is the job for you! We are currently expanding so this is an exciting time to join us.

20-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare pizzas as per menu and customer requests.
· Bake Neapolitan style wood fired pizzas.
· Wash, chop & prepare vegetable toppings.
· Prepare/slice cooked meat toppings.
· Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed.
· Maintain clean prep & cooking stations.
· Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards.
· Record food temperatures.

What we are looking for:

· Experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a restaurant preferable.
· Experience using a wood fired oven & hands-on experience preparing & baking pizza dough
a distinct advantage.
· Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment.
· Good time-management skills
· Friendly and sound
· Team player
· Willingness to learn
· Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings

Additional:

· HACCP 1 Year (Preferred).
· Fluent English (Essential)
· Valid work permit (Essential)
· Culinary School Qualification is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: €12.00-€14.00 per hour

Experience:

HACCP: 1 year (Required)
Chef: 1 year (Required)
Job Duties:

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards

Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables rapidly & accurately

Act as the contact point between waiting staff and kitchen

Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests & food allergies.

Ensure that napkins, cutlery and condiments are on the tables.

Remove dirty dishes and utensils and wash/dry them.

Requirements:
Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules

Availability to work various shifts, including weekends

Multi-tasking abilities

Good oral communication skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
