"Tomo" means friends, "Hachi" means eight in Japanese, together it means friends from eight directions ~~ all over the world! We are a family restaurant, our aim is to ensuring our customers enjoy our traditional, authentic home cooking in a cozy and friendly atmosphere, at the most central location of Dublin City Centre. We are the first restaurant in Ireland to adapt tablets for customers to bro

wse our menu and order food directly! This unique experience provides a more efficient flow: customers browse and order their food directly on tablets and orders are sent straight to the kitchen. This can eliminate human errors as well as minimise food wastage while also allowing our staff to attend to you more quickly, to serve you better! Our foods, soups, broths, sauces and desserts are all freshly made by our chefs everyday, making sure they are of the very best quality and retain the most traditional and authentic Japanese taste! Finally, everything is settled...

In the past few months, we have so much good memories because of you. We shared good times of many birthday parties, hens parties, job promotions or other celebrations, we witnessed a same s*x couple proposed, Charlotte's engagement. Our very first customers came again on our last day deliberately. We have many Japanese people said they finally found the taste of home... We really did made many friends in Tomohachi. Here, Dennis and Joey want to say a heartfelt thank to all of you, your satisfaction were our priority, and because of that you made Tomohachi a great success.

We also want to thank our lovely staffs, everyone who has contributed toward Tomohachi, especially those who helped us till the end. Everyone are important to us, and you guys did a really good job. We have a great time at our farewell party and the card you guys send us are so touching, and once again we wish you a very bright future.

Today, I got an email booking for 2 occasions, but I'm sorry for the disappointment, as Tomohachi has closed...

I hope you will keep an eye on our page, we might update some news from time to time, and finally, may Dennis and Joey thank you once again, we wish you all the best.

Dear friends,
I’m Dennis, the owner of Tomohachi. May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your love, support and comments, my wife Joey and I were over the moon when you guys told us you are happy with our food and service, even just the renovation or atmosphere.

Recently Joey found out she’s sick, to me family is more important than anything, we must stop everything to let her have the right treatment. It’s hard to say goodbye but all good things must come to an end.

We have decided that Tomohachi will be opened until 7th May, here I invite you to come and enjoy our food one more time. So, see you soon!
