Waterstown parkrun Dublin

Waterstown parkrun Dublin Waterstown parkrun is a FREE weekly 5km event for runners and walkers of all abilities, which takes place every Saturday at 9:30 in Waterstown Park.

A free weekly timed 5K run/walk, 9.30am every Saturday in Waterstown Park, Palmerstown. 5 mins from M50 (J7)
Everyone is welcome to walk, jog, run or volunteer! 🌳 It is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or

female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy this beautiful park and get physically active into the bargain. We want to encourage people to jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register before your first ever parkrun. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there! http://www.parkrun.ie/register/

Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee in The Coach House Cafe located 2 minutes drive or 5 minutes walk from Waterstown parkrun. This is a beautiful cafe and is well worth a visit for its comfortable and relaxed ambience. The Coach House is situated in the middle of Palmerstown village fronting onto the Old Lucan Road (Next to the Ulster Bank). So whether you are a complete novice looking to get yourself started on your own "running journey" or a seasoned athlete wanting to use this as a part of your training schedule, you’re welcome to come along and join us.

Today we had our #549 parkrun! Over 60 runners joined us this morning, far more than we imagined in the rainy weather! ☔️🌂💧

We had plenty of first-timers on the track. A huge welcome to Angus, Shauna, Joe and Moses, among many others. We also had some visitors from Fairview, Hartstown, Cabinteely, Fenit Greenway and Monaghan Town.

As for our milestones, Ken makes it to his 350 parkrun milestone! Well done. 💪

Despite the weather, we still had our amazing volunteers to help us with today's run. If you'd like to be a part of our merry band of helpers, let us know! 🦺🤳

Parkrun volunteers are incredibly important to everything we do and we especially love to see new faces join our volunteer teams. Volunteering is easy, fun and a great way to understand how parkrun works each week. There's no experience needed and there are a choice of roles and some even allow you to volunteer and run on the same day too.

So if you would like to volunteer over the coming weeks just get in touch
