Ireland has lost one of the all time greats of Irish and modern music also with Glen Hansards untimely death yesterday. Condolences to his family and the people of Ireland on such a massive loss. May you rest in peace.

What a day last Sunday was I've gone through 35/6 football and hurling all irelands over the years and to see joy in peoples faces and tears also From the Mayo people was just marvelous to see. I would go as far as saying it was probably the best atmosphere wise. And towards end of the night they were still as pleasant at they were at 12.30 that morning. So mayo team and there fans deserve all the fun that they have over the next year as then my own beautiful county Offaly might want to relieve them of it lol. Who knows god is good. The real Guinness guru with the beard was in a man who knows how to slaughter a pint and a gentleman also.

You were just a teenager when you departed this world Helen 44 years ago to the day. The worst nightmare for us with you not in it anymore unfortunately health beat you to the final race but your never forgotten in my and family’s world. Loved and missed every day. I know you are looking down on us with dad up there daily. Love always.
