PART 6 — it’s finally starting to take shape🥹

This week we measured EVERYTHING and spent the day trying to figure out what fits where 😂

It’s one thing having the new layout in your head, but actually seeing everything in place made such a difference. We’re making much better use of the space, improving the flow behind the counter and, most importantly, making things easier for our customers and for us!

Slowly but surely, the bakery is starting to look how we imagined it🧡

Part 5 of The Bakery Upgrade Series!!!🛠️

Colour matching the IKEA cabinets… what could possibly go wrong? 🫠

The plan was to find a wooden veneer that matched the IKEA cabinets so we could use it across the front of the new service counter.

After a very unsuccessful colour matching mission, we eventually realised IKEA actually do end panels in the exact same finish.

So… we gave up on the veneer and just used those instead🫶🏻

PART 4 of the bakery renovation 🛠️🧡

This oak countertop used to sit at the back of the bakery, but instead of getting rid of it, we gave it a little makeover 👀

We took it out, sanded it right back to its original colour, gave it a fresh coat of varnish and brought it back to life as a beautiful light oak finish ✨

One less thing going to waste + one very satisfying transformation.

Part 3 of The Bakery Upgrade Series 🛠️

This day was a BIG one... the stainless steel countertop finally went in👩🏼‍🍳

Safe to say we were very excited about this!! It’s made such a difference to the bakery and, most importantly, we can finally bake properly on it🧡

A few weeks later and we’re still obsessed with it.

We’ve now finished the renovations, so we wanted to take you back to where it all began …. showing you what we changed, the decisions we made, the good bits, the stressful bits and everything in between.
