Greetings All 💛 On 6th April 2018 we opened our doors & earlier this month we celebrated being 2 Year Old! While we could not open to celebrate we would like to thank all our dear customers for the fantastic support since we first started up. We are missing you all.
Wishing you all the best of health & happiness as we overcome this rare but not historically unprecedented period. We will have a new normal going forward, & being inventive & creative can help us all to make the absolute best of what we have.

Jays Cafe / Temporary Closure until Further Notice:
Well what a week. We made a decision mid week to close from today and as the days roll by we feel we have made the right call. We are likely a good number of days away from the peak, but the swift measures that the Gov have put in place and the efforts of the Public WILL help to protect the most vulnerable, flatten the curve an ease the pressure on the Healthcare System. The social solidarity + feedback from our customers during the week was great to see.

We miss you all already! We will update in the coming weeks & we will see you all soon. 💛

*** Jays Update ***
Like you all, we have been monitoring the situation over the last few days + weeks. We have put measures in place to protect staff and customers, further ramping up in the last few days.
Given the information we have to hand, we made a decision yesterday (in the interest of protecting the most vulnerable [The Elderly, The Healthcare Workers, People with Exiting Conditions) to close for *2 WEEKS from this Sat. *Until we get further National Guidance.
Our view is we have a finite number of ICU beds. With our current daily increase of approx 30% we are following an identical path to some of our less fortunate neighbours. Within 3 weeks our ICU beds will likely be under Pressure. Given the virus is one+ week ahead of us, we need to make hard decisions TODAY to flatten the curve to allow people who will get ill to get proper and adequate care.
We have a Personal & Social Responsibility to Most Vulnerable.

Individually we can all help:
SOCIAL DISTANCING - Especially if Symptomatic. Especially from the Most Vulnerable.
GOOD HYGIENE - Washing Hands & Surfaces Regularly.
ELIMINATE - Hands to Face contact.

We will be open Until *Saturday.
