(301)

Since our restaurant closed, we are operating from our little Mushroom Butcher food truck on 90 South Circular Road, Dublin 8. Veginity is plant based restaurant in Dublin, serving the best of world-inspired plant based food. It is run by Australian chef Mark Senn who has been vegetarian for over 25 years and worked in the famous Mildred’s of Soho (London) and was Head Chef of Soul Mama (Melbourne

). He ran the vegan video cooking website Veginity.com and self-published his first cook book “Losing my Veginity”. Veginity started in 2016 as a food truck in a warehouse in Portobello, Ireland and was an incubator to test the market and received great reviews in the media and within 3 months of opening it was awarded Best Street Food Award by Food Awards Ireland 2016. At the end of that year a second Food Truck was opened in Eatyard and was rebranded to Vish.Shop in 2018. 28.06.2018 Veginity moved to a permanent bricks and mortar place in 101 Dorset Street Upper, Dublin 1.

This weekend at the Mushroom Butcher food truck:
We’re serving up Turkish-inspired street food made with our own mushrooms! Come try our twist on tradition with bold, plant-based flavors:

• Bulgar Köftesi – fritters with Yellow Oysters & walnut-pepper tarator
• Folded Lahmacun Flatbreads – Pearl Oysters, chili & lentil soup
• Pearl Oyster Kebab – marinated, grilled & sauced up your way
• And our legendary donuts – sweet, savory, and seriously addictive (yes, there’s Pink Oyster ‘bacon’)

And as always a great selection of fresh mushrooms to take home!

Catch us while it’s hot – and mushroomy!

Got a little extra time this weekend?
While you’re riding the sugar high (or crashing from it), remember — mushrooms never sleep, and neither do we!

We’re open Saturday & Sunday this long weekend at our shiny UFO at 90 South Circular Road, Dublin 8.

Swing by for some proper food to shake off that chocolate coma — we’re serving up Mexican-inspired mushroom magic all weekend.
This is your last chance to catch our chimichangas and quesadillas, so yeah… the FOMO is real.

See you there!

We have done a few different varieties of sandwiches over the last while, sambos, sandos, areyas and bahn mi. With all the Paddy’s Day celebrations it made me a little home sick for Australia. So this week we will have an Aussie weekend and will have a good old Aussie BBQ Oyster Mushroom “Sanga”, so you don’t want to miss it this time around!

There will be a few other favourites from my childhood including the Aussie Chiko Roll. This was very popular last time we had it on, so make sure to try it this time around!

As for sweet treats I have re-imagined some of my old childhood favourites, as even though I haven’t been home for a very long time, I’m still a boy with a sweet tooth and these will take me right back home in a flash!

Swipe to see the menu!

Getting ready for a massive Paddy’s Day weekend! ☘️And to get right into the theme of it, we have painted our little food truck green! 😂 It wouldn’t be Paddy’s Day weekend with out the iconic fillet roll but we also have some classic Irish favorites for dessert, and, come here, sure, it wouldn’t go astray with a little drop in them! 😇

Will also have some Guiness braised oyster mushrooms stuffed into a tender garlic flat bread to get some soakage for the massive weekend!

So if you want to kick of your massive Paddy’s Day weekend, come visit us at our little green Irish themed food truck at 90 South Circular Road, Dublin 8.

It’s amazing how thing can change. Three years ago I went to for dinner and I jokingly asked where they got there mushrooms from and asked them if they wanted me to supply them. This was around the time I had started experimenting with growning mushrooms and had no idea I’d be doing it for a living a couple of years later. It had been some very tough years. From closing Veginity and Vish.shop/ Pretend, due to circumstances that were completely out of our hands. . There were times where I thought I wasn’t going to get back on my feet as the first year of Mushroom Butcher was insanely hard. It’s a very steep learning curve from being a chef to being a mushroom farmer. And just when you think you have worked it all out the mushrooms would test me again. Have to always remember that they are living organisms and will do as they feel depending on their environment, the conditions and their own “vibes”.

I was surprised and taken for their tasting menu for my birthday. And it was amazing to try my own mushrooms cooked by Michelin chefs and have my name on the menu. Killian .oisin.walsh and the crew took amazing care of me and have incredible detail to everything they cook. Thanks for the amazing experience and food. ✌🏾❤️🍄‍🟫
