'When it comes to local coffee shops the message is use it or lose it. Dublin has some wonderful independent coffee houses, and it would be very sad to see more go this way. So go out today and support your local coffee shop. Unless you want to live in a world where a tall, non-fat, iced, decaf, caramel macchiato is your only option. We hope to see Foam's owners pop up again somewhere soon.'

Press Release - Closure of Foam Cafe - Date: 1st February 2018

It is with sincere regret that we inform you that Foam Cafe Ltd closed permanently on 31st January 2018. Unfortunately due to the current financial climate, the running of the Café has been difficult like the rest of us in the economy. We are extremely proud of all that we have accomplished in these glorious years and could not be more thankful to those who have believed in us.

It was our sincere effort to offer excellent customer service to our customers and we hope we were successful in our endeavours. Our Story

Foam Café was a Dublin 1 based business that operated between January 2010 and January 2018. It was a most popular spot in the capital of Ireland since it opened! The Foam Café ‘experience’ was a casual dining alternative to mainstream coffee-shops. Our philosophy in the Cafe was simple: local ingredients, classic dishes, affordable prices in a welcoming and relaxed ambience. Located over two floors on Strand Street Great, Dublin 1, Foam Cafe provided excellent food and value in colourful, comfortable & chilled surroundings. We offered a large selection for lunch and dinner menu as well as a wide range of teas, coffees and cakes. All food was freshly prepared and produced in-house with a strong emphasis on Irish ingredients/suppliers.

Since opening in 2010, Foam had a band of loyal local (& perhaps international!) customers gaining a reputation for its decor and food. Throughout this period we received many comments about our popular Cafe! This is why Foam Cafe was one of the nicest places to eat, drink, relax and chat in Dublin.

Unfortunately due to the financial climate of operating a business in Dublin city, the running of the Café has been difficult like the rest of us in the economy. As a regrettable outcome of this, we had to shut down our beloved café. It was with sincere regret that we announced that Foam Cafe Ltd closed permanently on 31st January 2018.
