Trialling our new Rotisserie Chicken machine today and the results are SUBLIME!!

Free range chicken, marinated overnight in our lemon, garlic, paprika & herb marinade and roasted in our new rotisserie thingy is resulting in the juiciest, tastiest bird you can imagine.

We have them available in whole, half and as part of our rotisserie salad box and chicken sandwich made with.. wait for it.. Bread 41 sourdough.. it just doesn’t get better than this really!

We will have samples on the counter in the deli from tomorrow (Friday) so you can try it out, before you purchase, which you will 😎

We are devastated to lose our great pal Jerry Kiernan today. He was the nicest man you could meet and every single staff member adored him, with his endless kindness, his sharp wit and his no-nonsense approach to life.

He wasn’t a bit impressed that we turned the original cafe into a takeaway deli due to Covid, because he had his spot in the corner where he would hold court every single day and woe betide anyone who was in his seat when he arrived!

We did manage to entice him down the road to the new Er Buchetto Cafe and he was coming around nicely to the new set up, corner table and all - so much so that we were planning on putting up a ‘Jerry’s Table’ sign at his new spot, just to make him feel more at home as we knew he was missing his old haunt terribly. This recent lockdown put paid to that unfortunately but I know Jerry would have gotten a big kick out of the brass plaque!

Rest easy Jerry, you will be very much missed by us all here in Er Buchetto Cafe, along with the many friends who loved dropping by your table 💕

What a year, what a year, WHAT A YEAR! We are unbelievably grateful to every single one of you for keeping us open throughout 2020. We hope you have a safe and warm Christmas.

The Café will close tonight, 23rd of December at 5 pm and will reopen for take away only from the 31st to the 4th of January. After that, and until we receive the next set of instructions from the Government, we will be open for take away only, Thursday to Sunday every week.

The Déli will be open for your last minute hamper needs. We will be here for you and ready to help with the last panic until 14.00 - We are closing until the 4th when we reopen and will be open daily after that. Again a massive thank you and we look forward to a better 2121.🙏🙈
