The inspiration behind Urbanity coffee is simple: delivering an excellent coffee experience to the people of Dublin. We source the finest green beans available and roast them right in the centre of our café. Our roasting process allows for the full flavour of the bean to develop, demonstrating clarity and complexity in each cup. We believe that by taking control of the roasting process we can deliver a consistently excellent cup of coffee.

Meet Steph, our Sous Chef 👩‍🍳

Originally from Argentina, Steph's culinary journey has taken her through South America and Italy before bringing her to Ireland. Along the way, she's developed a thoughtful approach to cooking, shaped by diverse experiences, cultures, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Steph brings creativity, precision, and an infectious enthusiasm to the kitchen every day. From refining new dishes to supporting the team during service, her commitment to quality and continuous improvement is reflected in everything she does.

We're incredibly fortunate to have Stephanie as part of the team, and her influence continues to shape the food and experience we create at Urbanity.

Big things are cooking at Urbanity this August. 🔥

We're celebrating a new chapter at Urbanity with a special pop-up dinner showcasing our new head chef Matt Raynor's food and the flavours, techniques and experiences that have shaped his journey.

Matt brings over a decade of experience from some of the best kitchens in South Africa, London and Dublin.
His journey has taken him from the world-renowned La Colombe in Cape Town to London's Kudu and Le Pont de la Tour, before leading the kitchen at La Maison in Dublin and spending the last four years as Sous Chef at Note.

Now, he's bringing his passion for exceptional ingredients, thoughtful cooking and memorable dining experiences to Urbanity.

Join us for a one-night-only Summer Pop-up dinner as we welcome Matt and give you a first taste of what's to come.

We've got some news to shout about! 📢

We're delighted to welcome Matt Raynor as our new Head Chef!

Matt Raynor brings over a decade of experience from some of the finest kitchens in South Africa, London and Dublin.

His journey began at Silwood Cookery School in Cape Town before spending two years at the world-renowned La Colombe, working under James Gaag at what was then Africa's No. 1 restaurant and ranked among the world's best.

His career continued in London at Kudu (Bib Gourmand), followed by Le Pont de la Tour, where he worked as Junior Sous Chef under Fredrik Forster.

Landing in Dublin, Matt went on to lead the kitchen at La Maison as Head Chef before spending the last four years as Sous Chef at Note.

Now, Matt brings his passion for exceptional ingredients, thoughtful cooking and unforgettable dining experiences to Urbanity.

We can't wait for you to taste what's coming next! 👀

Banoffee French Toast

New on the weekend menu, our house baked banana bread is pan fried until crisp, then topped with whipped mascarpone, our house made whey caramel and served with fresh strawberry and pecan crumble.

This is already a firm favourite. Pop in at the weekend for a taste!
