It’s ever business owners worst nightmare to come to your shop and see the shutter up and the door open
So let’s talk about the break-in on Tuesday, I arrived to work at 6:20ish to see the shop had been burgled, they had lifted the shutter, broken the door and taken the till,
It’s not the money that is upsetting it’s the damages caused, the value in the till came to less then a fifth of what it took to repair the shop,
Besides the actual damages, for a business just over 4 months old it’s testing, to put all your savings, all your time and energy into a space. A space for people to feel welcome to feel they have a friend in the neighbourhood, a space for all, it just sets that back
I love you all for the messages supporting us in this time, so thankful for you guys and to my amazing team.
I love Dublin and I love Phibsborough, but this is a reminder to ourselves and every other business and person, that we have to protect each other because there is always people who will take advantage of a situation,
For us, to be open an hour after it all happening and have such a great day, it’s only a little blip and we have such amazing exciting things to come
