The story behind our mural 📖🏉

Owen Walsh (1993-2002) was a well known Irish artist who lived on Baggot Street Lower for 40 years and was a regular in the pub, then known as Larry Murphys.
He painted this in rugby mural one Good Friday in the 1960s. Rumour has it he was paid in whiskey rather than cash during that Good Friday when pub was closed.
