Good evening all. I was a fair bit outside on the green today and yesterday with my dog Sophie qand I stopped several times to speak to two different lots of children on the street. The kids who were young enough and were playing chasing, kick the can and on the bikes and flickers then too, they were running out of front of cars and I stopped one child from going on his flicker in circles in front of a reversing car. I would like to ask all parents of young children to maybe just go over some road safety with their little ones and they are so excited playing in the groups they are not looking at all before they dash into the road. I would hate to think what might of happened if I hadn't stopped them and told them to look before they ran into the street. The cars were at a snail's pace and saw the children but not every car that enters the estate drives at a safe speed this is also an issue I have raised before. Hope everyone has a pleasant evening. Thank you for reading this post everyone 😁

Hello all .I have noticed some residents on the estate are leaving bikes outside overnight. My nieces bike was left outside a couple of weeks ago over night and it was stolen. Please bring your bikes and children's bikes inside at night time just to be on the safe side. Thanks a million 😁

Good morning everyone in this bright morning . A few matters have been brought to my attention over the past few weeks. Some concerns by residents actually. I am currently typing up a newsletter and I will email to everyone in the estate over the course of the day.

1. There has been a serious amount of cars speeding into the estate and driving extremely fast and they come around each bend. The speed limit is 5 in this estate. I have seen some very close calls with children nearly being hit and a near close collision across from.my apartment yesterday. It was scary to witness. I won't mention names but I plan to speak to drivers directly over the next few days.

2. Children will always play on the road and street and green I am aware of this but in one weekend I witnessed two children run right out in front of two cars because they were playing chasing. Both children are young and about the height of the front bumper. I am afraid that it will take a kid being hit for both drivers and parents to made aware of this situation. Scary thought I know but this is a real scenario if drivers don't take heed of the slow speed limit and to be blunt parents educate and keep a better eye on their children outside at play. I spoke directly to both children and warning them of the dangers of running without looking into the street. Luckily one of the drivers was my own father and he was driving at the speed limit but he was still not the better after the shock of it. This issue has come up in every AGM I have been at and there is still fast driving into the estate and children running into the road. The issue needs to be addressed immediately.

3. There is currently no lock on the shed on the green. I will try and fix this today I have a spare lock. In the mean please tell the children not to play in the shed as there is petrol and its not safe. I wintessed two boys trying to lock two girls in the shed yesterday I told them off and wanted them it was not safe as I was just passing the green on my way home. If anyone has a automatic drill to fix the other part I would really appreicat your help at any stage over the weekend. Just knock on my door I am number 35 in the apartments.

4. The fence is also broken at the rear of the estate and this is going to be mended as soon as I organise that as I need to price wood and labour etc. The weather is to turn again over the coming weeks and I want it mended well before that.

5. There needs to be a Rota set up for the grass cutting of the estate. We have a great lawnmower now and if we all give some time to the Rota or we take it in turns over the winter to spring months it would be much appreciated and we can keep the estate looking well maintained.

6. Unfortunately we didn't have a fun this year. There wasn't a huge turn out at the last one I am afraid and the same people helped out with baking cooking and donated money to the day and cooked burgers etc. It would be marvellous if we.could hold something in spring or next summer if there was a bit of good vibe about the estate. If we all pull together it is very achievable.

7. Halloween is fast approaching its my favourite time of the year and the kids really enjoy knocking door to door trick or treating. It was good fun last year but they are a few more young children on the estate now which is great and I look forward seeing them all dress up and be full of excitement at the door. I think the generally thing is that a small group start at the front of the estate and work their way back to the apartments. Between 5.30 and 6 it usually the time I think I can confirm near the time..

8. The wall in two places needs to be mended that is my list aswell

9. Some of the trees have been broken by children playing or hanging out of them in the front and back please ask your children to refrain from doing that. The tree looks great and the estate really need be respected by us all.

10. On a personal note I love living in these estate we are very lucky with green and the trees and if we all.pull together we can give the place the care and attention it needs. I know I have been direct here but I feel it all needed to be addressed. Please feel free.to approach me if push a note in my door if you have more concerns or ideas moving forward.

If you have read this far thanks very much and enjoy the rest of this sunny Saturday afternoon.

Hey Boyne Meadow residents sorry I haven't been on this in a while . Alot of work has been carried recently by a few residents who volunteered their own time to make it a priorty to clean up the estate.

Firstly Rose Argue did a wonderful job of cutting the grass in the whole estate a few weeks ago she did a wonderful job well done. Then Chris cut the grass the following and also did a fabulous job then Dennis the week after that so well done to all.

Jen and Rose also took on the enormous task of cutting back the weeds and overgrown bushes near the apartments on the far wall. It took them the guts of a day and in doing that they were able to uncover the signs that were blocked by the overgrowth of the bushes plants etc. So a massive well done to them both there.

Paul cleaned up the flowers and bushes opposite his house on the green so well done to him too great work.

Rose and Micheal weeding and cleaned up the hanging baskets and flowers, shrubs etc outside the apartments which look wonderful now too really brightens up outside my apartment so thanks a million :)

The fence that was broken on the far green which leads on the back of the apartments to the river also was mended by Michael which is great as it was a danger to leave that broken as there is very uneven ground behind fence a big safety issue resolved .

Fresh parking lines were painted on Thursday by some men organised by the management committee to the overflow parking area. Well done here too.

The wall at the front of the estate was also repaired as the wall was badly damaged . This work was completed by Mark so thanks very much for that . It looks great well done.

As you can see residents there has been a huge amount of work achieved in the past month or so by various people living here it just goes to show there with alot of dedication and commitment we can all pull together and have the estate looking smashing. There is a lot more work to be done in the future but I just wanted to bring eveyryones attention that we are making great progress.

Thanks for reading
Much appreciated
