Good luck Nicole ☘️🌹

Introducing Nicole Cunningham (25), one of our incredible London Rose Finalists.

Originally from Carrick in County Donegal, Nicole moved to Stratford in October 2022 and is now based in East Village, building her life in London while staying proudly connected to her Gaeltacht roots back home.

Nicole’s story is deeply shaped by Gaeilge and community. She attended Scoil Náisiúnta na Carraige and Coláiste na Carraige before heading to Galway to study a Bachelor of Commerce with Gaeilge at what is now the University of Galway, a degree that allowed her to explore business while keeping Irish at the centre of her everyday life. Her course included time working in an Irish-speaking company and a semester living and studying in Carraroe, where everything was done through Irish, and she graduated with First Class Honours in 2022. Having discovered a real passion for marketing, Nicole went on to complete a Master’s in Marketing Practice at the University of Galway, combining academic learning with a year-long full-time placement, and graduated with First Class Honours again in 2023. She now works as a Product Marketing Manager at LexisNexis.

In London, Nicole has thrown herself into community in a way that is truly impressive. One of her proudest achievements this year has been taking on the role of PRO for the Tómas MacCurtains Ladies Football Team, where she has helped grow the club and welcomed nearly 30 new players, creating the same sense of friendship and belonging that meant so much to her when she first arrived in London. She is also incredibly proud to have represented the London Ladies Football Team for the past three seasons, and has completed four half marathons across Hackney, Malta and Lanzarote, with a full marathon on the horizon.

Please show Nicole your support by liking, commenting, and sharing this post, and follow along as the finalists continue their London Rose journey.

I got chatting to this lovely group of people last night in Ardara, all the way from Germany they’re known as the “Josie White Revival band”, along with their fans they were a welcome addition when they arrived at the Salmon leap today 🇩🇪 🎶 🎵 🎶

Lovely to meet this great group of people all the way from Minnesota 🇺🇸 Exploring the best that Donegal has to offer guided by Kim & James O'Donnell Photography

Yesterday (Sunday) began with a stop at Wild Atlantic Crafts in Killybegs. Huge thanks to Ronan for opening up early!
Then a spin to Sliabh Liag Cliffs, a drive through Teelin and a visit to Jules and Ken for coffee and snacks at Brew In Thru. This set us up nicely for the scenic drive from Carrick to Ardara via Glengesh. In Ardara we enjoyed a lovely meal in a lovely setting. Thanks so much to the staff and kitchen at Nancy's Bar for the superb service. Afterwards the group enjoyed a tour and taste at neighbouring Silkie Irish Whiskey An Dúlamán, Irish Maritime Gin at The Ardara Distillery.
McGeehan Coaches brought the 10 strong cheery bunch to the The Shamrock for music, craic and Guinness in Falcarragh.
Pizza from Tandy’s Wood Fired Pizza was enjoyed at the session before they all headed back to their B&B in south Donegal. More to follow, but I have to say, the weekend went as good if not better than hoped for.
Thanks a mil to Kim for reaching out early last year about the idea of visiting Donegal, and I'd like to thank her again for visiting and supporting me when I attended Milwaukee Irish Fest.
Last but not least. Thanks to Iggy for making it all happen, as Kim has followed Iggy's story for many years.
It was great to connect with Stephen of Keogh Tours Ireland, too! Looking forward to collaborating again in the future!

A tough start for these cyclists doing their 80km charity cycle in aid of Carrick & Glencolmcille national schools. Good to see the sun coming out now to ease the journey.
