There's something very special about having young people work with us.
Over the years, we've been lucky enough to watch so many of them grow in confidence, find their feet and go on to become doctors, health inspectors, entrepreneurs, parents and so much more. We've always been immensely proud to have played even a small part in their journey. ❤️
This year, we're saying goodbye to Eva Jichi, who has been a wonderful help to Michelle in the restaurant over the past four years. We've watched her grow into a confident, capable young woman, and she is now completing her dissertation on "Bias in Journalism." Our loss is academia's gain, and we wish Eva every success for whatever comes next.
We're also saying goodbye to Christian Boyle as he heads back to his roots in Killybegs. Christian has been a tremendously hardworking member of our team and, despite being a Liverpool supporter, he is an absolutely fantastic young man. We'll miss his hard work, banging tunes and great laughs. We wish him every success for the future.
And while we're saying goodbye to a few, we're delighted to welcome Katie Armstrong and Carmen Hernadez into the fold. Katie has been a superb addition to the team and has quickly become a real stalwart of our kitchen. Carmen is already a whizz at the coffee machine and a joy to work with.
To all of our young staff, past and present: thank you. Thank you for the energy, enthusiasm, laughter and hard work you've brought through our doors. And a very special thank you to your parents for entrusting you to us.
As another group head back to education or onto the next chapter, we look around at all the young people who have passed through Simple Simon's and can't help but feel incredibly proud.
If they're anything to go by, the future is in very good hands. ❤️
Good luck, everyone; go make us proud! 🌿
