Another great coffee event is coming your coffee way...Saturday 8th July Alchemy Coffee and Bookstore Cork.

Exciting stuff ahead! On Saturday 8th of July the fabulous crew at have decided to venture down to Cork and give a free taste and talk on a very special coffee and the difference in taste through various processes. The event is showcasing a coffee named Los Mangos, from a farm named Finca Argentina, grown high on the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountain Ranges, in El Salvador. or those of you who don't quite know what processing is, fear not, as it will all be explained at the event, but all you need to know for now is that it dramatically effects the flavour and characteristics of the final cup, so tasting a single coffee, that has been separated and processed in three separate ways is bound to be extremely interesting. Also as the coffee is in extremely limited quantity, there will be the opportunity to purchase some 250g bags on the day, which are unavailable elsewhere except at the tasting! Drop by Saturday 8th of July at 12pm @ Alchemy 🌟🌟🌟

Hello Coffee Lovers,

Yesterday evenings coffee cupping in St Peters Church Cork was a real treat, having 3 of our local speciality coffee roasters line our cupping table with some of their sensational coffees was very special indeed.
We slurped our way through coffees from Colombia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Kenya, Ethiopia and Brazil.
A coffee lovers paradise of coffees under one roof!

I would like to thank Wil Gilbert our organiser, Eoin Mac Carthy, Portafilter, and St.Peters Church for hosting the monthly event.
A special thanks to Tony Wcc (West Cork Coffee), Brock Lewin (Badger & Dodo Boutique Coffee Roasters), Mark Kingston (The Golden bean) for providing us with their coffees.
And of course a big thank you to all to came. as ever we had not only phenomenal coffees to try, but plenty of banter, laughs and chats galore.

I encourage you all to come at least once to one of our monthly cupping events, if you have no clue what coffee cupping is, it doesn't matter, we will guide you every step of the way.
It's a wonderful way to meet new people, to be part of a really positive, uplifting social group, learn more about speciality coffee and of course taste it!!

Keep an eye out here for details of our next event which will happen in July.

Until next time, sending out the coffee love to you all x
