This month we developed a lamb sausage in collaboration with tom_durcan_meats from the English market.

Ireland’s leading tourism businesses have been recognised at the Fáilte Ireland Employer Excellence Awards 2026, which took place at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin.  Our tiny gem of a restaurant, took the Award for Best Irish Food & Drink Employer for the second year running; a huge achievement for our little restaurant, which has been part of the fabric of Cork’s city centre for almost 14 years.

We are beyond proud to be recognised for this award for the second year running.  Winning once is very special, but winning twice is the icing on the cake. It has been a massive team effort across our restaurant group, and the engagement from our employees, particularly at Orso, is a testament to the programme itself. Supporting our employees while promoting and progressing their careers in our industry means everything to us.

We are very excited to announce that every Wednesday we will be singing the praises of one of our suppliers at the dinner table.

For the next 4 weeks we are show casing the excellent product supplied by from The English Market.

Our head Chef Hannes has collaborated with Tim Mulcahy from The Chicken Inn. Tim will be providing us with free range organic whole Chickens , and Hannes and his team will deliver a mouth watering 2 course set menu, alongside our own a la Carte offering, every Wednesday from 5pm.

We will have limited number of chickens on the evening, so when it's gone, it's gone!! Book early to avoid disappointment www.orso.ie
