To say we are all heartbroken is an understatement. 💔 Oliver you were one in a million. The friendship, comraderie, support and laughs out loud we all had throughout the years was unmatched. You’ve been part of the furniture since the 70s. Your devotion for GAA and love and knowledge of The best music and everything, folk, rock, blues, jazz and basically all Americana stayed with you til the end. And if you really knew Oliver you’d know “only the best would do” until we meet again our loyal friend.. Farewell 💔

The death has occurred of Oliver Guiney, 45 Cavan Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, 15th June 2026. Oliver passed away peacefully at Lisdarn, Cavan, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and William Guiney, sisters Rosaleen, Patricia, Gloria and Evelyn, and brothers James and Anthony.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, brother Chris, sister-in-law Anne, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (H16 FD25), on Wednesday evening from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

We are completely humbled by the kindness of Conor, Stephan and the shalvey family along with all the other members and people involved in the top yard diffin crew! It’s an unbelievable event and everyone had a super day.
To say we are grateful is a huge understatement ❤️

From the bottom of our hearts… thank you, thank you , thank you 🙏 we can’t wait to be looking after you all again 🙏🙏🙏

Was an absolute Joy to present €4,320 on behalf of you guys who attended our last diff day for Seans Diner to help them get the doors of their restaurant open again, it was an absolute privilege to achieve this for them, they have been long standing employers to family’s of our community in Cootehill for countless years and has fed all of the town, they are a pillar that we are sure will be back bigger and better then ever before✅💪❤️

A huge thank you to everyone that showed out and supported the diff day altogether as a car community we have been able to raise an outstanding €38,880 for good causes in Ireland, this does not happen from 1 person but from many many people and it shows the power when numbers come together to do positive things 🚘❤️

A huge thank you also to local business .willow.fencing for sponsoring €2,000 euro to aid our diff day check them out

In recent times in our local restaurant of many many years has had the misfortune of having a fire, let’s push together as a car community and raise some serious funds to get their doors open, 💪

Hi everyone. You may have wondered where we went over the past few days/weeks! Unfortunately we were hit by a cyber attack and have spent too much time trying recover our previous accounts. So here we are starting again, and would really appreciate your help to get our numbers back to where we were, and higher!
