As you know we are half Irish/Italian, and today is an historic day for Italian rugby(we beat Wales), and we are hoping double the joy with the Ireland game soon! What a great time to be alive. Did you know, the first fish and chips was started when an Italian emigrant got off in Cork in the 1880s thinking it was America, and then walked to Dublin City and started selling chips outside pubs. This kicked-off the rich Irish-Italian heritage within the industry in Ireland, and at Franco's Castlepollard, we are proud to be part of that heritage and to craf delicious, and cooked to demand chips. By the way. We didn't get off by mistake in Cork, but rather chose County Westmeath!
