It's been three weeks since we reopened the doors of our coffee shop (Siopa Caife sa Linenhall!) at the beginning of July.

We are so grateful to everyone who has turned up to support us over the past few weeks.

You may already know this, but our coffee shop has never been a profit-making enterprise. We do not strive to make a profit, we only wish to break even (strange but true!)!

The Linenhall Arts Centre is a charity and as such, we heavily rely on the support (financial and otherwise) of the local community to help us continue to provide our arts service to everyone in the locality.

Our coffee shop is a space for artists and the wider community to have an opportunity to engage with art and it is a space to initiate dialogue around art…whilst enjoying a coffee and a tasty sandwich of course!

We are asking you to support Siopa Caife by:
- buying a cup of coffee;
- dining in with your friends;
- following on instagram and facebook;
- spreading the word to your nearest and dearest.

We always say it but it couldn’t be more true…we are so grateful for your support, whatever way you decide to give it.

A little thank you to our first customers joining us tomorrow morning from 10am...yes you can have tea if you don't drink coffee 🙂

One free beverage per customer for our first 10 customers from 10am!

We're also serving early bird coffee from the hatch from 8.30am (not free!) so if you work nearby, be sure to stop at our window and treat yourself ☕️

Whatever you're at tomorrow, we hope you get a chance to stop by and support us...we'd love to see you 🥰

Another day, another celeb sighting in our coffee shop ahead of reopening next Tues 2 July 👀

Taylor decided to pop in ahead of her concerts this weekend to check the space out and she's given us her seal of approval! She even played a few tunes to hype us up before the weekend!

News has been spreading fast about our reopening next Tues 2 July 👏

We even had a surprise visitor in this week in his gucci finest to check the space out...he was a bit cold but sure that's Irish summers for you! We gave him a coffee to warm him up and he was delighted 👏

Fun fact...did you know our outdoor artwork was completed by local artist Bryan Gerard Duffy during his Bolay Residency here at the Linenhall in 2020 after the first lockdown?

Bryan was the inaugural recipient of the Bolay Residency, now in it's fourth year!

Bryan was selected from among ten of Mayo’s most prominent visual artists by the Linenhall’s Visual Arts Committee back in 2020 with unanimous approval across the board for his proposal. One of the goals of the residency was to bring life back to building after our long period of closure. Our outdoor coffee garden is a place for people to pause and take a break from the outside world - a quiet oasis in the heart of Castlebar. Bryan's work feeds into his ongoing fascination with spaces marked as active, inactive or possibly active, the 'in-between spaces' that inspires some of his current work.

The wall looks slightly different now...do pop in for a look next time you're around.
