We were absolutely delighted to welcome the renowned fashion journalist Loïc Prigent and his lovely cameraman Eduardo to the Riverbank
We hosted a very special lunch where Loïc met the remarkable Carrickmacross lace makers who created the beautiful, intricate lace for ‘Standing Ground’s’ debut couture show in Paris in July 2026, keeping alive a treasured Monaghan tradition through their extraordinary skill and craftsmanship.
It was a lovely afternoon around the table, with a feast of Irish & homegrown produce.
Wild Irish salmon and homemade brown bread, our homemade cheese scones, mugs of tea and freshly pressed elderflower cordial gathered and made that morning.
For Loïc, we made his favourite strawberry sponge cake, inspired by the one his Mother makes for him. The eggs came fresh from Broadacre Farm & the strawberries were picked at Corderry Farm . The milk came from Smyth’s Farm while the salads, herbs and berries were gathered fresh also from Broadacre.
It was such a pleasure to have Loïc with us, and we are incredibly proud of the beautiful film he has made, capturing not only the lace, but the women, the place and the spirit behind this wonderful tradition. ❤️

Thank you to Natalie B. Coleman for making this happen.
