We are now in our last few days of 2016, and as always a new year begins, but it is with happy memories and absolutely no regrets that we end our era in China Town Takeaway. Yes, we feel saddened that our time has come to an end, but we all look forward to our new beginnings. We wish to thank all our extremely loyal friends, customers and staff over the years who have supported us and made China Town an iconic place in Carrickmacross. I know that it holds a special place in many peoples hearts, and we have witnessed generations of Carrick passing through for curry chips and what not! Our suppliers over the years have kept us afloat, without you it would not be possible.Thank you for these golden memories which will live in our hearts long after we close our doors. One final acknowledgement to Robert Shiu who has dedicated his life to China Town, people of Carrick have accepted him into their community and lives as if he was always here. This is because he is an outstanding, friendly person with a kind and loving heart to all he meets.From Robert himself, "Thank you Carrickmacross for all the years of support, I am 30 years in Carrickmacross and I have good memories, Now I will enjoy my retirement and relax! Bye Bye Carrick!" We are Closing New Years Eve at 11pm, opening again with a new tenant in February 2017.
