Job Vacancy: Café Assistant / Barista

Café Assistant & Coffee / Bubble Tea Barista -> Monday-Sunday 15hrs - 35hrs per week. Please send your CV to [email protected] or hand it into the shop in Carndonagh.

Main Tasks (training will be given)
Serving customers: Making sure our customers leave our shop happier than they came in.
Cleaning: Dishwashing, cleaning, and keeping the coffee shop safe.
Barista: Always making the best coffees, iced drinks, and bubble teas possible.

Skills:
Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm, people/customer skills, reliability/time keeping and a good work ethic are the most important skills. It is a small team and rely on each other, everyone needs to be punctual and reliable.
Hygiene: Hygiene and safety are absolutely vital to our business Maintaining the highest levels of hygiene, and ensuring the safety of our produce, understanding allergens, and avoiding any contamination are key to the position. Basic Food Safety or HACCP training would be preferred.

JOB VACANCY: BANBA BAKERY - KP / BAKING ASSISTANT

The Caffe Banba Bakery makes high quality traybakes and cakes for our own shop and coffee van, but we also supply wholesale to many other hospitality outlets, who depend on our produce to keep their customers happy.

We now need a KP / bakery Assistant to join the team as soon as possible in our Carndonagh Bakery.

Days of Work: Monday-Friday (no weekends)
Location: Caffe Banba Bakery, Carndonagh
Rate: Depends on experience.

JOB: BANBA BAKERY VACANCY

The Caffe Banba Bakery makes high quality traybakes and cakes for our own shop and coffee van, but we also supply wholesale to many other hospitality outlets, who depend on our produce to keep their customers happy.

We now need another baker to join our bakery team as soon as possible in our Carndonagh Bakery

The ideal person will have the following skills and experience, but training will be given.

Main Responsibilities
Prep: Making various cake mixes, fillings, icings and toppings.
Chocolate: Melting/tempering, coating/enrobing, and working with all forms of chocolate.
Pastry: Making various pastry doughs, rolling and shaping (shortcrust, Choux)
Baking: Portioning and baking cakes
Icing: Icing cakes, traybakes, cupcakes etc.
Finishing: Portioning, packing, labelling and preparing for dispatch
Documentation: Completing production logs and HACCP paperwork

Skills
Experience: Experience in a commercial bakery or kitchen preferred.
Hygiene: Maintaining the highest levels of hygiene, clean as you go,
Food Safety: Ensuring the safety of our produce, understanding allergens, and avoiding any contamination.
Recipes: ability to follow recipes exactly as written, and attention to detail
Productivity: Ability to work to deadlines and multitask.
Reliable: It is a small team working to tight deadlines and staff need to be punctual and reliable.

JOBS - Please like and share if you know someone who might be interested!
We are looking for more staff in our Carndonagh Coffee Shop and Bakery as we get busier. Experience would be great for all the positions, but we really value reliable people who are dedicated to making our team work better, and keeping our customers as happy as possible.

Coffee / Bubble Tea Barista -> Monday-Sunday 15hrs - 35hrs per week
We need 2 people to join our Barista team - experience in Coffee or Bubble Tea would be great, but full training will be provided so don't let that put you off. Hours can be flexible, but you would need to be available throughout the shop working week Monday-Sunday.

Baker -> Weekdays - 24-40 hrs per week
We are looking to add another baker in our Wholesale Bakery, making our amazing traybakes, cakes and breads for our own Banba outlets and our wholesale customers. Experience working in a bakery, kitchen or deli would help but is not essential.

Bakery Assistant / Dishwasher -> Weekdays - 15-24 hours per week
We are looking for someone to do the essential jobs that support the bakery - packaging, mixing batters, dish washing, ingredient preparation, cleaning etc. Experience as a KP or in a catering job would be great but is not essential.

Sorry all, but the risk of losing precious coffee to Eowyn is too great, so Caffe Banba will be closed on Friday 24th Jan.
This video from Sept 2018, shows what a light 70kph Malin Head Breeze can do to a Cappuccino. Imagine what the forecast gust of 120kph in Carndonagh (160kph in Malin Head) could do to your precious beverage. It is going to be ferocious. Take Care, and we will see you on Saturday.
