10 years to the day since I competed in my first UK's strongest man competition. I had been training strongman with my training partners for one year and five months and had just won Irelands strongest novice and had placed 3rd in the all irelands qualifying me for thI had been training consistently in the gym for five years at that point.

It was my first time to meet and we have remained friends ever since.

Best of luck to these two relative newcomers to the sport of strongman and

Despite being young and new to the sport they have already taken some more seasoned scalps and will no doubt make their mark in tomorrow's competition.

They have many similar qualities and attitudes which I always try to reinforce to those wishing to compete in the sport:

- Be humble in victory
- be gracious in defeat
- be always willing to learn and take advice
- patience and perseverance are key to progress
- never make excuses and learn from your mistakes
- never act like a little bitch (it's strongman)
- never give up!

Best of luck to all the competitors may ye have an injury free competition and may the strongest man win (or whoever has sucked Glenn's balls the hardest 🀣)

P.s. Jack needs a fu***ng beard

Rather than just paying membership and getting practice on an actual car roll (the only gym to have one in the Republic) several of ye fragile fu***rs are messaging asking questions and looking for tips and advice on the event . . . for free of course (id say Christmas is some crack in yer housesπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ)

So here are a few of the most common questions answered for ye.

Q1: how do I warm up properly for a car roll?
A1: you run to the car!

Q2: what's the best technique to use when lifting?
A2: lift with your shoulder and arms up and into the car and keep your body back and leaning into the car.

Q3: what should I not do?
A3: allow the momentum of the car to stop or end up underneath the car.

Overview: This is a speed event more aggression and less thinking will sevre you well. If your kicking tyres and checking which way the wind is blowing before the event this probably won't go well for you πŸ’ͺ

And for the record no one is barred from my gym before anyone starts playing the victim (except for making awesome memes about me)

New axle technique with pussy-weight. Change of footwear, wider stance, different clean technique and a wider grip means starting fresh with what is my best overhead event.

Too many of ye fragile fu***rs are what I call "social media strong". You bu****it your weights in training videos and are always found out on comp day but at least ye always have the book of excuses to fall back on.

When I was competing I would nearly always improve on my gym lifts by 10kg plus due to the adrenaline, crowds, competition in general. Now lads are consistently falling short of their gym lifts in comp and nothing looks worse.

Side note: if you have a tendency to throw hissy fits and slam equipment when lifts don't go your way, or you act like a bitch in general your probably taking too much test 🀣😜

Cleaning up the timber and revealing the grain in one of the upright posts used to make the Stoltman Yoke for .stoltman and two more of these yokes are about to be made for for use in the Magnus Classic held later this year. I will document the making of these in great detail over the coming weeks

Another new day, no blue skies but your still alive! How pessimistic or optimistic you are can change your whole outlook on life. Regardless of how tough life can feel the vast majority of things that upset people are irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

The vast majority of my friends on here live in a western society and we are all too familiar with the term the 1%. Oh how good the 1% must have it, rich mother f flying around the world in private jets etc . . . . . .

I have really bad news for you self pitying victims always whinging about how hard and unfair life is . . . . You are the 1%!!!

The 1% of the world's population that lives in a free western democracy. . . .

You do not live in absolute poverty,
You do not live in a war zone,
You do not live in starvation or famine,
You have clean water, shelter and access to medical aid,
You do not live under dictatorship or communism (yet 🀣😜)

So instead of drowning in self pity about your modern day problems (which I am not dismissing but do need perspective) remember that there are literally millions of people around the world dreaming about living a life in circumstances you have been lucky enough to live.

So get up off your miserable ass and enjoy life (with all its perils and challenges) you lucky b@stards!

You have tried the full for , allow me to introduce you to the full . Did vikings eat this for ,probably not but everything you label viking these days is cool,

500g
250g
300g pudding (racists can use white pudding 😜)
250g lambs
250g lambs
100g
150g
4 (the inclusion of vegetables add flavour and makes this meal ideal for )

In the over for 45 mins and you have roughly 3000 calories, 300g protein , 180g carbs, 120 grams of fat

Eat more organ meat.

If your an o type you will thrive on this for breakfast.
