The Mountain roots darts fundraiser ran off last Sunday night, an exhibition of darts was on display, with South Kerry’s top guns firing on all cylinders in a singles shoot out, mano a mano, toe to toe, dukeing it out, no doubles, no four a side, nowhere to hide, no excuses.
The final after a treacherous field was contested by Richie “RNLI” Quigley and Bernard “the postman” Kelly, (he always delivers), Richie’s form proving too hot to handle despite Bernards best efforts. A final played in great spirits, Richie leaving all competitors high and dry without a life buoy. The Quigley dynasty continues to remain undefeated and undisputed in all Anchor competitions.
We would like to thank all who par took in the fundraiser on the night, we would like to thank the sponsors on the night, O’ Keeffes Oil Rathmore, Top Oil Cork, Maxol Lubricants Dublin, Derry from Heineken and John from Diageo. We would like to thank Margaret Curran who stood in on short notice to represent the Roots festival to present Richard with the trophy. All proceeds going towards the Mountain Roots festival May weekend.
This Saturday night ‘Go Easy’ play live.
