IS BACK

Over the past few months Ian from OTHERS has kicked our collaborative project back into gear.

To recap:
The handplane is a circular design project using milk bottles to create a highly individual and absurdly fun waveriding vehicle.

A labour of love; the making of each handplane helps 10 HDPE milk bottles find a new purpose. As well as creating a sustainable pathway for our cafe waste to be recycled, closes the loop on a number of our shared passions in coffee, surf, sustainability and design.

We’re delighted to see this batch completed and heading out into the wild. Revisiting the image archives was a reminder just how epic they are and the joy they bring. Available online now on OTHERS page or in our cafe’s in Bundoran and Sligo in the coming weeks!

We’re back with the a special one from our ongoing artist series with Josh Vyvyan.

A friend for many years, Josh has regularly frequented the lineups and studios of the north west and we’ve long admired his thoughtful and profound outlook on the creative process.

Spanning a wide variety of influence; from 90’s surf iconography to Celtic mythology, literature and of course, coffee - this one really feels like the perfect tip of the hat to the many overlapping facets of our lived experience.

We’re delighted to have this number in the wardrobe as something we wanna wear- day in, day out. Huge thanks to Josh and everyone that has grabbed one so far- it really is a trip seeing these things out in the wild.
