Hopefully the kids are all settled back into the school routine and have managed the transition from summer holidays fairly well.

We just wanted to let you know that we are offering our classic after school student takeaway special again this year: a small roll with 2 toppings, cup of soup or crisps and a bottle of water, coke, sprite or orange for only a fiver. Please note that kids must be in their school uniform to avail of the deal. 😉

Anyone who's a regular visitor will know our beautiful Deirdre. She'd often be smiling, sporting her bodacious and infectious laugh or organising us all behind (or not so behind) the scenes.

It is with both sadness and pride that, after all these years, we say goodbye to her as she starts on her own adventure - Roasted Reel Coffee - in Ballindaggin. So, if you're in today or tomorrow, please join us in wishing her all the best on the next exciting step of her journey and if you're in the Ballindaggin area, why not pop in a get a cuppa and a sambo. From today, our outdoor cafe in the Altamont Walled Garden will be open daily from 10:30-4:30.

It's a lovely spot to stop for a little refreshment during your visit to the beautiful gardens and plant shop.
