September is here 🍂 And with it comes a whole new season of Irish produce.

Think crisp apples, juicy blackberries, earthy beetroot, sweet carrots, leeks, cabbage and plenty of comforting root veg 🥕

It’s that lovely in-between time of year, when summer produce is still hanging on, but we’re starting to crave warmer bowls, slow-cooked dinners and cosy kitchen favourites.

Eating with the seasons means produce at its best-full of flavour, often better value, and a lovely way to support Irish growers where you can 🇮🇪 ☘️

Save this for your September food shop 🛒

What’s in season this August?

August is one of the best months for fresh, flavour-packed produce. Think juicy tomatoes, sweetcorn, courgettes, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and crisp cucumbers.

Shopping with the seasons means better flavour, great value and an easy way to make the most of every meal.

Whenever you can, support local by buying direct from farmers, your local fruit and veg shop or your nearest farmers’ market. They need our support now more than ever, and you’ll be rewarded with some of the freshest produce available. 💚

We are overrun with incredible produce this month and have so many wonderful things to choose from. So many of these are all grown right here in Ireland, so please support your local fruit and veg shop/markets/online delivery if and when you can. Summer nourishment, the simple way. ☀️
You can still get your bone broth fix when the sun is shining.
Slow-simmered bone broth, enjoyed on chilled evenings before bed, add into lighter lunches and everything in between. Rich in flavour, naturally comforting, and surprisingly perfect for warmer days.

Summer sniffles?
For those feeling a little less than one hundred percent this week our super greens soup is always such a nutritional boost for weary immune systems. Changes in weather and busier social calendars this time of year can often leave us feeling depleted. This beautiful, vibrant green soup is jammed with seven different greens, anti inflammatory turmeric and some gentle spices to help nurse you back ro health.
Enjoy, S ❤️
