One year already!☕️✨
Recently, our newest coffee shop celebrated it’s first birthday and we were very grateful to be featured in the local newspaper, sharing a little bit of our story — a Romanian family who now proudly call Ireland home.
When we started this journey, we never imagined we would be here today. But 9 years later, thanks to so much support, we are proud to have 3 places and an amazing community around us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all our wonderful customers who have supported us over the years. Every coffee, every visit, every kind word has helped us grow and continue doing what we love.
A special thank you also to our incredible staff, past and present, for being part of our journey and helping us make our coffee shops & restaurant what they are today.

A collection of ducks and hats on the landing of a family home in Kildare might seem an unlikely starting point to name a Wicklow cafe, but for Roxana, Eugen and Vlad Plagie the assortment of headwear and waterfowl provided the perfect personal touch when they opened their eatery on Blessington Main Street last year.
Hailing from Romania, but now proudly calling Ireland home, the close-knit family recently marked one year in business at Ducks and Hats, a cosy eatery with an eclectic menu that includes everything from a full Irish breakfast and stacked pancakes to superfood salads, fresh pasta and Roman-style flatbreads called pinse.
Ducks and Hats is the newest addition to the Plagie’s fast-growing food empire, which includes The Canvas Cafe in Kill and The Canvas Restaurant in Kilcock, near their family home, with the opening of the Blessington location the latest step in a hospitality career that began for Eugen over two decades ago.
