The Red Apple Cafe is all about local communities,local produce,good food and good coffee. Where possible, produce is sourced locally and organic or free range. We aim to recycle and use recycled products. We Support the GM Free Ireland Campaign and Fair Trade. We believe that educating consumers about healthy food is important.

It is with a sad and heavy heart that I am posting here this evening with the unfortunate news that The Red Apple has ceased trading as of today 28th of October 2023. We did not come to this decision lightly, it was a mixture of things big and small. I would like to thank all my wonderful customers and friends who I am going to miss dearly. I would also like to thank my staff past and up to the present date who worked with me to bring you good coffee and good food.

What a weekend in Birr, the Junior B hurling team won the County Final and Birr hosted the senior county final for the first time in years. Also commiserations to the Irish Rugby team who gave us a few great weeks of Rugby in there World Cup Campaign. Serving an all day breakfast to help blow away those cobwebs and get ya in fighting form for the week ahead 🥰😜🍎

Hi folks due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to close the Cafe today at 4pm we will be finished food today at 3pm and closing by 4pm we will be only doing takeaway teas, coffees treats between 3 and 4pm, we will be back to normal by tomorrow.
