The Larder The Larder is a cosy space to enjoy tasty sandwiches, soup, quiche/pies & lots of sweet treats using as much local & seasonal produce as possible.

It is important for us to keep the relaxed atmosphere therefore we do not accept minibus/coach groups.

Finished off at Tioman island followed by a quick trip to Melaka before we parted ways 😢🤣

Melaka has Georgetown vibes eith lots of cool vintage style cafes and the usual delicious Malaysian food. Definitely worth a visit if you in Malaysia. We weren’t brave enough (again!) to taste Durian fruit in it’s original form (something suspicious if said fruit banned from hotels 😂) but this crème brûlée with durian purée was actually delicious 😋

So off to Bangkok I’ve gone by my lonesome ❤️ while Aoibhin flew back to London because she missed her bike 🏍️😂

Love love love Georgetown in Penang (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Such a cool spot for food and great coffee ❤️

Then spent almost a week on Tioman Island (thr island of diving, cats & Monkeys 😂) so the bossy one could do diving and I could eat and drink duty free b**r & w**e 😂 Aoibhin had to do mini hike into jungle for iced coffee, needed a gallon of mosie spray to go with the coffee though 🦟

Now settled in Melaka for last few days in Malaysia, still have huge list of food to try, might be rolling home 😂 🍜

Snow Fungus (or frilly mushroom according to Aoibhin) & date dessert ( #13) was an acquired taste, not sure we’ve acquired it but sure it’s very healthy 😝

Georgetown on Penang island definitely a must visit if you travel to eat, so many great dishes, great coffee places and lots street art! Will definitely be back ❤️

A snapshot of the last week. F1 in KL not for the faint hearted, luckily had some great dinners albeit at midnight after crazy transport back from Sepang to KL.

Quick trip to Ipoh for some street art and food of course then bus journey up the crazy windy road to Cameron Highlands where the British built Tea Plantations & Strawberry farms. Still the main industry up here today. 🫖🍓

Always a pleasure to share dishes from places we’ve travelled to, and to see people enjoying them!

Next destination for food discovery - Malaysia 🇲🇾
