Kitchen Cook – Part-Time Café Role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Cook to join our café team on a part-time basis.

Days & Hours:
Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Approx. 8:15am – 3:30pm
Catering (Fri/ Sat evenings/Sun mornings occadionally)

As a rural, community-focused café, our regular customers are at the heart of everything we do. This role is not just about cooking – it’s about contributing to a warm, welcoming atmosphere where locals feel valued and looked after.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining the highest standards of food safety management at all times (FSAI & HACCP compliance)
Preparing and cooking breakfast and light lunch dishes to a high standard
Food preparation and supporting group catering orders
Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen
Supporting a positive, customer-focused environment
Occasionally assisting in front of house (serving customers, waiting tables, and operating the till)

What We’re Looking For:
A team player with a strong work ethic
Strong awareness and commitment to food safety and hygiene
Someone who takes pride in their food and presentation
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
Comfortable stepping into front-of-house duties when needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced café setting

Not content with travelling the coast of Ireland last year 2025 as part of his very own 'Camino' trail, Timmy Mallet continues his 2026 adventures by cycling his eyecatching-multicoloured -handpainted-landscapes-of-the-world🌈 bike through Ireland, specifically touring the Hidden Heartlands and visiting locations in Cavan, Fermanagh, Leitrim, Longford & Westmeath!

He is combining his journey with art, painting, and interacting with local communities, continuing his passion for scenic, slow-travel cycling. Timmy tributes his inspiration and energy to his brother and best pal Martin, who lived in every moment of every day. Timmy is giving the most amazingly entertaining running commentary along the way , so be sure to tune in to his stories online!

Now, to fuel this passion, he obviously has to pop in for a pitstop to all the many fabulous café & restaursnt, and naturally, when himself & Denise rolled up to SiP Coffee Garden , we were delighted to see them refuelled & wished them a safe journey to their next destination ✨️🌈💗

A teeny, tiny bit late posting this… but in true testament to how much we’ve missed one of our O.G’s of Team SiP, it’s taken us a while to catch our breath to post this as we've been on the back foot ever since 27/12! 😆🍳

Leanne Dillon — a true O.G of Team SiP since Aug 2022 — headed off in January with her other half to see the world! 🌏
She was there from day one, helping shape SiP into what it is today. Rarely missing a day, always showing up, and somehow bringing the whole team together with her calm, quietly brilliant vibe… and the occasional whitty one-liner that had us in stitches 🤣
Hard shoes to fill for sure!✨️
Calm under pressure, always up for a laugh 🍻, and genuinely the kind of person every team hopes for.

Wishing them both endless adventures, new experiences, teaching and learning in amazing spaces, locations, may they find great company, and make memories to last a lifetime 🥰 🗺🍹🗻🕌🛶⛱️☀️
