It is with a heavy heart that we would like to inform you all that we will not be reopening The Hungry Heron in 2024! Despite a fantastic few years we have decided that it’s time for a little rest🤩 We would like to thank everyone who supported us and we would like to especially thank our incredible team! 🙏

HOWEVER! Sweet Cahore will reopen this summer season and will officially open on May 31st🤗🌞

The 2023 Summer Season is coming to a close! Our Hungry Heron hatches and Sweet Cahore shop will close this Sunday August 27th for the season!

We would like to thank everyone who supported us this year ~ from an ice cream to a family meal, from one time passers by to repeated custom and from strangers to locals, it really does mean everything!🌞

We will remain open for as long as we can Sunday, however once it’s gone, it’s gone (hope you all understand!)🌞

Fresh Fish landed in for the weekend straight from Kilmore Quay fishermen to for filleting and then to us🌊

~ Fresh Fish and Chips served with a pot of Tartar Sauce🐠
~ Homemade Seafood Chowder served with a slice of freshly baked bread⚓️
~ Sweet Chilli and Honey Tempura Prawns, battered to order and served on a bed of crispy lettuce🍤

🌞Looks like summer is back🌞

Due to an incredible response this weekend we’ve decided to make our Tempura Prawns and Seafood Chowder a permanent feature 🌊

Our Sweet Chilli and Honey Tempura Prawns will be available everyday 🍤

Our Seafood Chowder which is served with a slice of homemade brown bread, will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend!🌼

We want to thank everyone who visited us over the Bank Holiday Weekend and throughout the season! Hopefully, we will see you again soon🌸
